Attentive service, good food!

It was a joy to dine at Max's. Our staff personnel was very helpful and genuinely pleasant. The meal was a compliment to his service. I would recommend this restaurant and advise anyone to make a reservation.

Arrived 15 min early for our reservation but seated promptly. Nice patio seating, inside pretty cold with the air conditioning and fans. Service seemed jumbled...several different servers approached us to either take orders or bring items. Food was spotty. Mixed pea salad was terrific- tasty, fresh and a generous portion. Scallops with dirty rice looked better than it tasted. Seasoning... More

After a long day of business we were taken to this restaurant. The atmosphere was great. Relaxed and trendy. There were outside tables available and we were right next to the Basketball hall of fame. The food was to die for. The calamari was one of the best. Tender and crunchy. I had the steak Oscar with scallops on top.... More

Started a business dinner with cocktails followed by appetizer of flatbread, and tower of seafood. Delicious. Followed with Caymus wine. I had the black spa get with shrimp, others had, meatloaf, filet Oscar and the chef was able to accommodate of vegan work associate. Nicely done. Desserts were tasty. I would recommend this restaurant. Emily was a helpful server.

This is a great steakhouse. The service is top notch and they have two private room areas for gatherings or business dinners. The seafood platers may not be worth the money. It's good, just lacks a shrimp assortment in my opinion. There is also no lobster claws or tails. The starters are all decent and for s group they'll do... More

This is the second time we have been there. Its always consistent and the staff is great! The Prime Rib is delicious, anything from the raw bar is fresh. We have never had a bad visit. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Dress is casual neat to formal. I have seen kids there, there is plenty for them to choose... More

Traveling from Boston to Syracuse. Stopped at Max's. Not too far off our route. Excellent food and service. Our server, Emily, was awesome. Will definitely stop again.

I was in Springfield for a professional meeting and went to Max's Tavern for dinner. It definitely is one of the best places to dine in the Springfield area. I had steak, others in my party had fish; everyone enjoyed their dinner. Service was quite slow, so be prepared to wait.

we stopped in for a late dinner on a Thursday night. While it was busy we were able to get a table near the bar. The service was outstanding. We had an incredible raw bar platter and tuna tacos. Delicious! Our waitress Andrea was super friendly and attentive. A very minor issue with part of our order prompted an immediate... More

Four of us stopped there for dinner around 1830 on a Saturday evening. Our reservations were honored immediately. The place was crowded. The wait staff was overall good, though our waiter neglected to bring a requested item until reminded. He also brought the wrong bill to our table. Nothing major. I shared a Caesar salad which was mediocre. The lobster... More
