We were just passing through town and I went here based on reviews and the menu I looked up online - GREAT decision! We actually ended up eating upstairs in the billiards hall (Smith's) because there was a wait for the downstairs but it all serves the same menu. My husband and I have both traveled all over and tasted... More

I took a group of 22 people to Theodore's for a holiday lunch. I got there a little early and pre-ordered appetizers for the group which arrived just as the people were sitting down. The service was terrific (efficient, friendly) throughout the lunch, with 22 meals coming out together after about fifteen minutes. Both the appetizers and main dishes were... More

Love the menu, nice selection of beer. Atmosphere is a little dark but suits the place. Service on the other hand is miserable. Wait staff do the absolute minimum to get you out the door. Caca faces the instant you walk in.

I go for the atmosphere and the Texas Tea, which is Theodore's version of a Long Island Iced tea. I take my family and we have a great time talking if a band isn't on stage. If a band is playing, we eventually give up talking, enjoy the music, and have our innards rattled by the sound. Our family motto,... More

Great Service.... but being from Texas the BBQ was just mehhh. Had the baby backs as recommended, lots of food but just not as good as some places fron home. Would return because it was decent food just didnt live up to the hype.

I love trying BBQ joints when I travel but never thought I would find a gem like this in Massachusetts! Excellent food, perfect portions and a great wait staff to boot. I picked the ribs and hot links, others had pulled pork. Not a bad selection anywhere. The side were typical BBQ fare and the corn bread was almost like... More

I thought the food would have been something special from the rave reviews I had read on tripadvisor, but it's regular bbq, no different from any other BBQ place I have been.

For a BBQ in the city, I felt like I was in North Carolina! The beef briskest was so tender and tasty and the ribs are to die for! The ribs were meaty and tender with great smokey flavor. Their sides were really great too. The garlic mashed potatoes were perfect and the collard greens had great flavor( not bitter).... More

Theodores has good barbecue and decent bar food. It is a great bar and often has really good music, the Blues being my favorite. This is a fun place to go with a group to hear music and have a good meal.

We stopped in here on a Friday night. It's a sort of dark place with a friendly competent staff. They have the classic selection of meats. We had the pulled pork and the brisket. The brisket was much better than the pulled pork. They had some nice sauces to mix some sweet some spicy but not super hot. The sides... More
