Nice location near area hotels on a downtown Springfield side street. Great atmosphere, friendly service and mouth watering BBQ. Wish I had another night to indulge. Kids (10 and 13) loved it. It's not fancy, it's just darn good.

On our way home from vacation, I was searching the web for a place to stop for dinner not too far from the Mass Pike. Theodore's had some good reviews so we thought we'd try it. FANTASTIC!!! It was a little off the highway but it was SO worth it. My 13- & 17-year-old sons were sold when the waitress... More

The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly. Our order came incredibly fast and was so good! The prices were very reasonable. I can't say enough good about our experience at Theodore's. I wish I lived close enough to be a regukar there.

On our way back to NY from ME we decided to get off the xpressway for dinner and chose Theodore's based on the reviews. The food was awesome! We took home 3 containers of food as the portions and sides were absolutely filling. Wife and I had the brisket which was extremely tender and delicious. Food came out quick and... More

Went here on a Sunday evening with a family group of 7 out-of-towners ranging in age from 1 to 70, some Barbeque fans, some not. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their dinner. Popcorn, crayons & paper table covers, and a good kid's menu kept the young ones content. BBQ lovers enjoyed their various choices from the many varieties... More

Found theodore's here on TripAdvisor...NOT DISAPPOINTED! We followed the suggestion of other reviewer's who said not to be deterred by the outside and the downtown neighborhood and give it a try and we did. The atmosphere was fun, nostalgic and even historical. The food was OMG, so good. We ordered the burnt ends as an appetizer, excellent! This place seriously... More

Ribs were delicious and pulled pork was fabulous. Fun atmosphere! Very kid friendly, offering a child's menu and serving popcorn before your meal. We would definitely go back!

At home or most restaurants, the main problem with spareribs is the "True Meat to Bone Ratio." You grab a good looking rib, take a big bite, and find you actually have very little to chew on.....a bit like eating good popcorn, one bite is never quite enough ....you think you need to have another bite just like the last...
