My father always sat at what was known as the "family table" with local business owners. I ate many a lunch and dinner in the booths with him by the bar. Weiner Schnitzel. Indian Pudding. The recent renovation has kept memories in tact. It still conjures happy times and a generational gathering spirit. Prosit!

The place is nicely decorated though I would steer clear of booths, very upright for sitting and narrow. We had the huge prezel yum! You need to ask for ground mustard, much better than the American honey stuff and cheese. Got knock wurst which was great. The spatzel was surprisingly good. The Sauerkraut was on the sweet side. Great beer... More

This was our first trip back since the renovations were completed. We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon. We were very impressed with all the work that had been done and to see that the collections were still displayed. We asked for the main dining room and were seated in a very comfy booth. The menu offered fewer choices, but... More

We appreciate you taking the time to share your impressions. We are working on getting the Beaver Honey Mustard. It is strange just how difficult the little things can be. I will let your server know that you enjoyed the meal. More

Went to the new fort and I was not disappointed. New menu was creative and will appeal to a broad range of people. Beer list was expansive with a brew to fit every palate. Our bartender was attentive and made som excellent reccomendations. He had us try the pork belly and it was delicious. We will be back.

The "new" fort has kept its delicious German dishes. Beer selection continues to be extensive and the wait staff could not have been more friendly. There are many German items to pick from. The is an excellent location for a business meeting or a family get-together.

Thanks for sharing you thoughts. We hope to see you with your family or business associates on Fort Street. In a short time we should have some spring delicacies such as fiddle head ferns. More

Embarrassing. My family has been enjoying this restaurant for over 40 years for fun and special occasions. Our waitress tried her best but there was no saving this nightmare. What is the new management thinking? Awful. I just hope they come to their senses soon and really save this wonderful institution. I'm sure it's still fun to have a drink... More

We really enjoyed our meal at the Student Prince. And the ambience and old world charm of the restaurant and bar made for a lovely atmosphere with the exception of the back room where we were seated. We had 6:00 pm reservations and the place was pretty packed when we got there. We were taken to the back room which... More

I have been going to the Fort for 25 plus years. It recently underwent a large remodel. The old was great, the new is as good.

The atmosphere is wonderful. There's a huge beer stein collection to look at, which was pretty cool. There were even some stained glass windows. The parking situation is a little rough, but we found a lot nearby to park in because the street spots were all full. I really did enjoy the overall experience, but being a vegetarian, there wasn't... More
