Posh spot in town

I would say this is the "fanciest" spot in town. They make fun drinks in the large bar area and the menu is nice. The bad part...they close for winter!

Ordered Halibut fish & chips. Three small portions of fish on a bed of over cooked dark brown fries. Fish must have been tossed into deep fryer right out of the freezer which resulted in over cooked, tasteless nothing. Small side of slaw......and I do mean small.....must have been prepared the week before and was limp.

Went looking for a good bowl of clam chowder but they were out of it the night we visited. Our dinner was great, nice atmosphere and the shuttle to and from the restaurant was a great perk! Not within walking distance of downtown on a dark and rainy night. Service was good, not spectacular.

Recommended by Sitka Tours (not Sitka Sound Tours) this establishment located on the northern edge of Sitka will pick-up and deliver diners from their lodging. Fairly new and of pleasing design with good views of the Sound, the menu was excellent. Top notch salad bar and a good selection of local seafood and red meats, the service was very professional... Loved the ambiance of this restaurant. The food was very good as was the service. It a little way away from the main downtown area. However, they offer a free shuttle service which was very convenient. The URL for their website is http://sitkachannelclub.com/

The food is excellent, portions were plentiful, salad bar well stocked, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. You need a reservation if you want to eat during peak times, which is about 6:00 - 7:30.

LOVE that they pick you up in a shuttle. Was super easy to call and get a lift. Friendly staff and good service. Prices are a little steep, but that's SE Alaska. Love that salad is included with every meal. Here's the kicker. We all ordered the same thing. When the meals came, they were all different; One was hot,... More

With just a quick call the Channel Club sends a van to pick you up if you don't have a car.the food is definitely worth the trip. The salmon was delicious and the dish was large enough to split so that you could be enticed to also order one of the starters

Our family ate here for my husband's birthday. The service is excellent. The salad bar is super fresh. The lobster and scallop Mac and cheese is super as is the king salmon. A must if in Sitka
