Stopped here on our anniversary for a nice breakfast. It was great just like previous reviews stated. Small breakfast menu but has just what you need. The pastry counter is not over rated. Very cool place. Come here. Eat. Relax. You won't be disappointed.

When in Luray, everything is mostly on Main street and it isn't much. If you are looking for something else than the contemporary and often blend hotel breakfast, go to Gathering Grounds. It used to be an old hardware store and it is now wonderfully redecorated and so cozy! The hot chocolates and toasted croissants are great. They have a... More

Got there around 10:50 am, 10 minutes before breakfast ended. I had sausage quiche which was ok. My girlfriend had rye toast, very good, and scrambled eggs - excellent. Her black raspberry muffin was fresh baked and one of the best we have ever had. We ordered lemon chess pie to go and found it excellent as well. The ambiance... More

Spent a few days in Luray at the end of July for a "girls getaway" with a good friend from college. We had breakfast at the Gathering Grounds both mornings we were there. Homemade quiche and scones and wonderful coffee in a relaxed and cozy environment! Doesn't get much better than that! The staff was friendly and we didn't feel... More

Excellent menu choices. Good food – portions OK, not huge but afterall it was lunch. Excellent service. Coffee was the best we found during entire 12-day visit to Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina - we're from the Seattle area, and know about great coffee. Great homemade Oreo cookie. Enjoy a window seat to watch the world go by in... More

My sister and I went to Luray to see the Caverns! Found the Gathering Grounds Cafe, a quaint restaurant, decorated beautifully with vintage pieces, and that has delicious food, too! Their desserts looked wonderful, but we were too stuffed after lunch to have dessert! Their coffee smelled great! Whether you are looking for a full meal, a light snack, or... More

Good food, smiling faces, nice location and atmosphere. A little pricey for our town, but nice for a different choice.

we stopped mid afternoon on a Saturday hoping to get a quick bite...after bring seated nobody came over for a while..at least 10 minutes. It took 15 minutes to get a drink order, and food came out shortly afterwards..tomato basil soup tasted canned, but chicken salad was good. Husband had Italian sandwich and side salad....which he said was tasty. The... More

Everyone was so friendly! Despite being out of towners we were welcomed, enjoyed good food and friendly, quality service. Every aspect about the place was charming and cozy. We look forward to returning
