I have previously given this place a great rating. Unfortunately, things have significantly changed. When we arrived, we were given the "stare down" by staff. There were very few patrons there, so you would've thought they would be bending over backward to get us whatever we needed. We only ordered drinks - two draft beers - and they took forever... More

My husband and I did an accidental 13 mile hike in the Shenandoah Valley one Saturday morning in April. Needless to say, when we got to our B&B in Luray we were starving and went to Speakeasy Bar. Our server was fantastic - so friendly - and the food did not disappoint. Both our meals had generous portions and tasted... More

We recently took friends here and the food and service were both poor. Totally oversalted everything on the plate. I actually got sick later that night. Can't prove it was their food, but that's all I ate. We won't be going back.

Not really a lot of choices for upscale dining in Luray, so this place is well worth a try. Service was quick and excellent, food good to better than good, and somewhat pricey. The atmosphere is very nice, comfortable and clean. It is a bar - restaurant, so when you go in see if you are joining a large loud... More

Located in the beautiful Mimslyn Inn, the Speakeasy could be so much better. The live music is ridiculously loud for a classy establishment. The staff is great. The food is just so so.

Opens for dinner at 4 p.m. appetizers are half price until 6pm. Prices are reasonable. Oysters Rockefeller were worth even the full price. Fried green tomatoes were hard and not as good as at Uncle Buck's. They were ok with the spicy sauce though. The nachos were not even worth the reduced price. French onion soup was excellent. The chicken... More

Decent food. Hostess was very good. Live music was a nice touch too. Enjoyable night overall. I would go back there again.

A comfortable and friendly place with good food and service. Live music was also enjoyable. Got crowded right after we got there so go fairly early for a table.

It was Ok. We ate there twice because were told that they had gluten free options. They did and they were fine, but I am thinking that there might have been some gluten cross contamination with the fries, because I was sick that night. On the night that I skipped the fries I was fine. I wondered whether they used... More

Excellent food, great service, fun night with the Jazz group playing. Defiantly a must when in Luray.
