Good Family Restaurant

Only reason why we even tried this restaurant was because of a local suggested for a good steak. Husband and I ordered Ribeyes medium rare they came out medium well but that wasn't the issue. My husband ordered his with shrimp, the shrimp came out un-shelled and with legs. Our daughter ordered from the kids menu the fried shrimp with... More

Incredibly slow kitchen. The restaurant was busy but not packed. We were there 1-1/2 hrs waiting for two meals. We had stuffed mushrooms that were good. When you're told the prime rib is either medium well or well done, think over cooked. The chicken fried steak was fair. The gravy tasted like it was from a mix. Wait staff was... More

Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Held us over until dinner. My husband had a large bowl of oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar along with bacon and toast. I had two large pancakes and two sunny side up eggs done just the way I like them :)

You gotta love a place that serves fried chicken, chicken-fried steak, and chicken-fried chicken, all of which are different dishes. This place is nothing fancy, but it has good comfort food. Friendly diner-type place.

We had dinner one night and came back for breakfast. Service was good. Food was prepared as requested and definitely inexpensive. That's the first dinner we've had for $20 in a long time. Could use a little fixing up in that walls were dinged and the molding was missing all around the main dining space.

We ate here this past Saturday while on a trip to Luray Caverns. The food was excellent and prices were very reasonable!! We would eat there again. We had children with us and the children's menu was very good.

We had a large group of 4 adults and 4 children. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The waitresses were super nice and checked on us frequently. The place is a comfortable down home restaurant. The food was excellent. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit.

Just the kind of small town country diner we were looking for. Nothing fancy, just a heaping pile of good comfort food to start the day. Put this place under the "simple pleasures" category. (Posting late... actually ate here in Jan 14)
