Great lunch, sleepy town.

Granted, we ate here on a day that required snow chains to see Sequoia, but we stopped in for a bite before heading into the park. The waitress was super sweet and helpful with all our touristy questions. We both ordered french onion soup, which was awesome. We also ordered salad and a burger... read more

The food was not great. The scenery was nice, but not well kept.

As nurses, we can afford to eat a quality dinner and thought we would treat our family out to a nice dinner by the river. First we sat down at the outside patio are next to the river. Once we saw the prices of the food, we were shocked. Ten dollars for a kids meal that didnt even include a... More

A must stop place on your way to or from the Sequoia National Park . Been going there for years and it's always been a great experience. You won't get better food or atmosphere, and it is worth the price . They go all out for special occasions and holidays . Really...treat yourselves and eat here sometime ,you won't be... More

We've eaten here for Valentines Day the past two years (first year with our kids and another family, the second year just by ourselves) as we are always camping and visiting the Sequoias and the snow at this time. We always enjoy it because of the beautiful scenery - outdoor seating is a must if you can brave the weather.... More

After 3 days of motorcycle camping, my riding partner and I were dreaming about a couple of good ribeye steaks. The nice people at the Three Rivers Inn told us that the Gateway just happened to have ribeyes on special that night. After stashing our saddlebags and packs in our room and washing up, we headed back up the road... More

This restaurant is close to the Sequoia National Park Entrance. I have been here a couple times in the past 4 years. The service is hit or miss. This time we were pleasantly surprised. (However, our greeter did have a fake British accent (we know because it was horrible and we heard him speak in his American voice as well).... More

Six of us rode our motorcycles to Three Rivers, CA and upon the recommendation of a friend, ate at The Gateway Restaurant and Lodge. We sat outside and enjoyed the soothing sounds of the Kaweah River, just below the restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive and our food was delicious, especially after a long day of riding. The atmosphere... More

After flying in to Fresno from the East Coast, driving to Three Rivers, and then checking into our hotel next door, we were too travel weary to make the trek back into Three Rivers proper (albeit <10 minutes) for dinner. So we decided to try The Gateway. After a small bit of a grumble because we didn't have a reservation,... More

Absolutely the worst food I have ever had anywhere. The only flavor in the eggplant parmesan was like eating spoonfuls of flour. Had three bites and left the rest. Companion's burger was O.K. but for $63.00 it was a total wast of money.
