All you pay for here is the views of the river which are great. The food was not up to par for the prices charged. The chef's skills are definently lacking. In July the flies are everywhere. more

Our reservation was for 7, we were seated at 7:30. Okay, stuff happens, then our server told us they were shorthanded, but we did get bread right away. Then the fun began: after waiting for 45 minutes the manager walks over and says our food is coming up soon, however, we never got our salads or soup that we ordered... more

I have to believe that all of the good reviews for the Gateway are planted by the owners to cover up the vast shortcomings of this restaurant. Every time I have been, it is a disappointing experience. Unfortunately my father in law likes the clam chowder for some reason, so we get dragged there every once in awhile. Basically this... more

The first day, we ate a pizza so we could afford this one. Total of $79 for 2 entrees and 2 beers (taxes and tip included). We took meat so finally it wasn't expensive. However I think $23 for pasta (cream and mushroom) or ravioli is really overpriced. The pork ribs were the best ever. Not overcooked and no fat.... more

Unbelievable setting on the Kaweah River. I had their Grizzly Bear N.Y. Cut steak, it was cooked just the way I like it, just between rare and medium rare. Great flavor! My wife had Filet Mignon and lobster tail, not Mexican or Brazilian, but Australian and it was succulent. Service was great and their wine selection had anything anybody might... more

This restaurant is terrible for sure, and the food is disgusting. We paid 70$ for 1/8 inch thick steak. Not thick sure, but so hard, and untastefull. Plus, our server "Kris25Hanggi" was sure the worst server ever met - around the world! Please, go somewhere else! more

Every year after leaving the campground, we stop here to eat before hitting the road. The patio seating is what first attracted us. Also, they are always welcoming with our dogs. The staff is very friendly. The food is not very tasty and the prices are pretty high. Service is a little slow too. But like I said, this is... more

This restaurant and lodge located at very very beautiful place - right on the river. We walked and asked room for December 30th. Room design is completely different from "standard" motel room - I felt like more old fashion with all neccessary things. We had queen and twin beds. For me it was much more then I would expect for... more
