Delicious food but too casual

Food was very good but we found the portions were too small (2 people need to order a fondue for 3). The front desk hostesses were very professional and polite but the waiters too laid back and lacking in the same professionalism. We also felt a bit "crowded", in the sense that the restaurant is... read more

Went for dinner last minute and thought we would give it a try. We had reservations and got there maybe 15 minutes early and went to the bar for a drink. The Bartender was fantastic, great service and made really good cocktails! After waiting for about 45 minutes we were seated, the restaurant couldn't have been more than half full,... More

My favorite birthday dinner remains the Melting Pot in Thousand OAks, CA. They have good wine, great service and a fabulous dining experience. Thanks for another great birthday dinner - the gift you sent home with me was yummy too!

My fiance and I came here for dinner after I proposed to her earlier in the day. So it was a kind of celebration dinner. I called a couple weeks prior to book their Ultimate Romance Package, which comes with 4 courses, Rose petals on your table, Champange, Roses, comemerotive flutes a picture, and a secluded booth...kind of. Our server... More

its fondue, keep it in mind. Always a lot of fun. I like that they have a number of cooking "oils/broths" available. While the portion looks small at firsty, it is more than enough without being served piles of junk and carbs. This place is perfect for couples or small groups.

Four of us dined at this Melting Pot for a special occasion. The wait staff was pleasant, and we were seated quickly (we had reservations). The choices were the typical Melting Pot choices for soup, main, and dessert (if you've been to Melting Pot, you'll know what I mean). We started with beer-cheese soup, then had the fish, Angus steak,... More

The Starter and Dessert are the best part of this restaurant. It is a fun and interesting experience. The entrée course is only an okay thing for me. Unfortunately it appears that the wines are not being kept pre-chilled and therefore, the white wines aren't really served at the proper temperature. We had to wait for them to briefly chill... I'll begin by saying that you can't beat the service. Multiple servers per table, always on the spot to keep glasses filled and to ensure all is well. The experience is fun, but it's difficult to access fondue pots that are not directly in front of you. I had to reach across the person next to me way too much.... More

This unusual restaurant makes you cook your own meat. No problem: it was delicious. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. One flaw was when the waiter told us that if my partner had any of my food, she would also be charged. What?....Come on!

I've been wanting to try the Melting Pot for a while but it always seemed like it was the kind of place that's better enjoyed with a group. This past weekend we celebrated a family birthday with our grown children and their spouses. We enjoyed our meal very much. The wine list was very good and our server was engaging... More
