I can't recommend this place highly enough. The food was spectacular, the place is romantic, and the service was excellent. This place is now on my list of one of my all time favorites in Santa Fe.... and they've got a lot to compete with. more

We had dinner at Amavi on our last night in Santa Fe. The atmosphere was lovely, but the food was disappointing. We asked our waiter to recommend a reasonably priced bottle of wine, and he pointed us to the $100+ selections. He also knew the guests at the table next to us and they proceeded to have a personal conversation... more

The food here was excellent and inventive. They have at least one vegetarian main course on the menu, which is surprisingly rare at a lot of the better restaurants in Santa Fe. The service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will go back every time we're in Santa Fe. more

Asking for a good Italian restaurant, the concierge of our hotel recommended Amavi for its variety of mediterranean cuisine. The decoration of the restaurant is trendy and pleasant, the service lacks professionalism and the quality of food (we had Alaskan wild salmon, gambas al ajillo and bouillabaisse) was reasonable but not remarkable. With just one glass of wine, no dessert... more

My family had dinner here on 27 July. My wife had the zucchini blossoms as an appetizer and loved them. We both had the chicken baked under a brick and I highly recommend this dish. The bill and service were in line with what we expected and I'd go back again. more

We asked for an outdoor table on a beautiful summer evening and were shown to a tiny patio with 2 tables surrounded by walls and a high fence with two air conditioner blasting overhead making it noisy and unpleasant. The Zucchini blossoms were fried oil and soggy, I'd had the same dish at Ristra the night before and they were... more

My husband surprises me every anniversary by taking me out to a great local restaurant that we haven't tried before leaving for our annual anniversary vacation. This year, he asked around, and Amavi came highly recommended. We had heard that their cocktails were fantastic, so we decided to each go with one for our pre-meal enjoyment. My husband had the... more

My husband and I had dinner at Amavi when we arrived in Santa Fe late one evening. Our plane didn't get into Albuquerque until late and we still had to drive up to Santa Fe. We had reserved a table at Amavi because they were one of the few restaurants that would take a 10:00 p.m. reservation. At no time... more

For my 50th birthday, I put myself in the hands of Santa Fe's School of Cooking chef, Rocky Durham (rockydurham.com) to find the best chef's table experience for me, my mom and two sisters. Rocky knows the Santa Fe restaurant business and he reserved a table for our party at David & Heather Sellers, Amavi (amavirestaurant.com). Our table was outside... more

We stumbled upon Amavi the first night we were in Santa Fe, just exploring options within walking distance of the Inn of the Governors (great place to stay). We had an extremely positive experience, so much so, that we made reservations for another visit later in the week. We were pleased with the ambiance, excellent, attentive, service, and both the... more
