Good Not Great

I had wanted to go to Sante Fe and enjoy the art galleries for years. The reality was less than I expected. The old down town could be quainter and have a lot less cheap tourist shops and a lot more restaurants. Very few of them around the square. There are some interesting historical churches... read more

This is the place to come for a regular burger or chili with a little zesty-it-up. The atmosphere is the normal Santa Fe with adobe, tile and peppers and garlic hanging off the wall. There are some good choices to zip up your burger and the local buritto [?] cheese, a soft, somewhat like buffalo mozzarella only more liquid-like, was... More

Sante Fe area is an experience. The energy is high and the adobe style buildings make for great photography. You won't find so much adobe anywhere else in the country as you will in this city.

We were headed south on I25 from Denver to a concert in ABQ. We arrived on a Sunday evening about 9pm. We did not need reservations and plenty of seating. The staff were super and friendly. A busy atmosphere of decor but well laid out. We enjoyed our food very much. My husband got a burger with heirloom tomatoes and... More

Ate on patio of il piatto for dinner this evening. We had our dog so needed a place where we could dine outside. What a find!!! Some of the best Italian food ever although it was really "comtinental.". Wonderful bread, a nice light salad and the best homemade pasta...ravioli filled w/fresh pumpkin in a brown butter. A wonderful bread/flan type... More

The commitment to an integrated adobe architecture gives the town an aura all its own. It is small, walkable everywhere, has a charming central plaza and many sites. If you see an article of jewelry or other to your liking, sold by a Native American artisan under the portal in the central square, buy it, because it will likely not... More

A sweet little place right downtown serving fab deli sandwishes. Owner and wife do all the work and are as sweet as their offerings are tasty. This tiny place has big flavor!

While staying over New Years in Santa Fe, we asked for a recommendation for a good sports bar where we could watch the Redskins football game and eat. This was billed as the "best sports bar in Santa Fe". It was full as was to be expected with the Dallas Cowboys playing the Redskins so we got a table where... More

This is one of those great down home restaurants with good food and good service. It is especially good for breakfast and lunch with a good variety of New Mexican dishes and more.
