Great green chile - and a seriously good New Mexican food experience. I like their breakfast best, but lunch is good too. The chile is hot, and the "level 2" is super hot. If and when I get level 2 - I usually can't drive myself home. It's that hot. It's not fine dining, it's next to a gas station,... More

Hands down the best green chile in Santa Fe. This is not a place you visit for a fine dining experience - it's where you go if you want to know what the locals eat. Be warned, the green chile is HOT, but darned tasty and addictive. Don't even think about trying the "Level 2" green chile, it will hurt... More

another santa fe place with great food. I had a breakfast burrito which was huge and had very good sauces on the side, red and green chili's.

Horseman's Haven is located out Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe. It is next to a big tire store and is located in a retail part of town. It is not big on ambience or decor, but it is the real New Mexican food experience. They have great values on lunch specials, and their regular menu is a good value. People... More

Tied with Plaza Cafe for best green chile in Santa Fe. Level 2 is wicked hot. Great for an adrenaline rush or clearing out sinus congestion. Pretty standard fare otherwise, but good. Kind of a dive, and a little hard to find the first time, but I really like it. It shares a parking lot with a Giant gas station... More

I decided to try this place after passing it by many times. I had read the reviews about the hot green chile so I decided I needed to give it a try. WOW! I like hot food, but I was wary of the level-2 that was mentioned, so I ordered cheese enchiladas with red and the regular green chile, then... More

On our way over from Albuquerque to Taos, we decided to stop here for some New Mexican fare. My mother-in-law ordered the tacos, my husband the adovada, and me the posole. We all loved our dishes. We sampled the green chiles level 2 and it was SUPER spicy - I think it hurt my non-New-Mexican stomach a bit! Overall, the... More

We totally loved the Horesman's Haven Cafe. Our breakfast burritos were awesome christmas stye. The location made us feel like we were really experiencing an authentic breakfast. The family who owns the restaurant were all very friendly and quick service. Compared to the many food stops throughout downtown Santa Fe this was a perfect place to see outside of the... More

This little place isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside, its warm, friendly atmosphere is clearly apparent. It's not fancy, but the food reminds you of going to grandma's house when you were 10. The portions are huge and the menu has all of Abuelita's favorites: beans, tacos, enchiladas, posole, papitas, burritos, and of course, lots of... More
