Muy sabroso!

After about 20 years of hearing about this place, we finally managed to go, rather than battle the Saturday night crowds as Tomasitas, and are very glad we did. As some of the other reviews have indicated, it's not the most refined New Mexican fare, but that only adds to its authenticity. Not to... read more

Great place to stop in for a quick bite. Mind you this is a "Mom and Pop" diner, not a fancy tourist attraction. But the food was great! And the service was AWESOME. I wasn't feeling like Mexican - so I had a cheeseburger and it was great. Hash browns were perfect.

I had the cheese enchiladas it was very greasy. Do these places cook with lard? I want clean, healthy food, not a plate dripping in slime. There are thousands of really good restaurants in Santa Fe, but this is not one of them.

My wife and I ate here on a recent visit to Santa Fe. Our relatives in town told us we had to get the green chili cheeseburger. I like my food hot and was told I wouldn't be disappointed. They were ring on the mark. The chili was hot as advertised but had great flavor as well. Add the normal... More

A real down to earth place with really good food. Mexican entrees with chile peppers are very good and big. Friendly service!

We found this restaurant by accident when desperate to find a lunch spot while passing through the area. This was a lucky find as the food was excellent. However, they were packed and extremely busy. The wait staff were very friendly with their regulars but after our food was served we were rather abandoned. They did not even bring a... More

We drove by here hundreds of times and always said "we should stop there some time." We stopped around lunch time and there was a nice friendly local crowd, many with law enforcement badges. I had a huge serving of scrambled eggs and toast and my wife had Huevos Rancheros. We were pleased with the meal and planned to return.... More

The restaurant is very modestly decorated - the emphasis is on serving quality food. Try the chorizo with eggs- it's fantastic.

I took a gamble based on the number of high reviews for the restaurant , but I think there are some people who have not had a lot of options in New Mexican food. I know that Anthony Bourdain mentioned them, and I will say that the green chili may be the hottest chili I have had, but it was... More

Family owned forever, when I first moved to Santa Fe in 1982, this cafe was part of a gas station. Owners of the station decided to sell the land but part of the sale, rumor has it, that they build Louie the owner a free standing building next to the new gas station so he could continue selling his food...
