hottest green chili ever

Family owned forever, when I first moved to Santa Fe in 1982, this cafe was part of a gas station. Owners of the station decided to sell the land but part of the sale, rumor has it, that they build Louie the owner a free standing building next to the new gas station so he could continue selling his... read more

We drove by here hundreds of times and always said "we should stop there some time." We stopped around lunch time and there was a nice friendly local crowd, many with law enforcement badges. I had a huge serving of scrambled eggs and toast and my wife had Huevos Rancheros. We were pleased with the meal and planned to return.... More

The restaurant is very modestly decorated - the emphasis is on serving quality food. Try the chorizo with eggs- it's fantastic.

I took a gamble based on the number of high reviews for the restaurant , but I think there are some people who have not had a lot of options in New Mexican food. I know that Anthony Bourdain mentioned them, and I will say that the green chili may be the hottest chili I have had, but it was... More

I remember 10 years ago visiting Santa Fe and enjoying this little unknown spot. Recent trip told me to not come back. The food was not good ( breakfast). Eggs were cooked in a hurry and even my kids complained about the bacon. What a disappointment as our last bit of red chili before we left town. So many other... More

We had passed this place a hundred times over, even bought gas at the station next door, until we saw a review on triple D, with Guy saying how great it is, we had to try it. As part of a Sunday motorcycle ride we entered to find a full house of locals sharing tables and enjoying big plates of... More

I really enjoyed lunch -- I am no expert, but this seemed like a truly authentic Mexican dining experience. Family-run, busy, comfortable, and really good food. Try it!!

Large meal of Carne Avovada was good, but a little too salty. Priced right for the quality and quantity. I immediately ate an antacid chaser, just in case.

I really enjoyed the real Mexican food. This restaurant was recommended to us and I can see why. Its a little café,kind of family style. The only thing, they don't serve alcohol. Beer would be really nice and helpful after tasting the green chili sauce for the first time.

I wanted to try this place after reading some rave reviews. I found it to be just ok. The female server would be much better suited to a career that does not involve serving the public directly on the front lines! Service in general was slow. The food was good quality but nothing special. The cleaning products the used in... More
