Okay, we're not experts in Mexican food so based on TA reviews we went to Los Potrillos. It was outstanding, The flavors were fresh and clean, the service quick and attentive, generous portions (had we known, we would've shared an entre) and all reasonably priced. Well done Los Potrillos!

Still a great stop for Mexican food in Santa Fe. Nothing fancy, just real people feeding locals great meals. Priced reasonably, but more importantly the service is excellent and everyone in extremely friendly from start to finish. The pico de gallo is the real deal...and hot...be careful. Margaritas are generous and tasty. This is a weekly meal when we are... More

This was our first visit to Los Portrillos and we were very impressed. We visited the restaurant at about 2:30 PM, well after the lunch rush and it was still about three quarters full. (Usually, a sign that people like the restaurant.) We had lunch and selected items that were no the usual TexMex fare. (I had a savory steak... More

The service was quite slow on the night we were there, so we had to wait a while for our dishes to come out from the kitchen. However, all in all, this was a very pleasant eating experience. The cabrito was good (but not great), but everything else lived up to expectations. The restaurant itself is very pleasant. This is... More

Competitively priced. Very friendly. A bit noisy if you go too early. The fajitas were good. Chips and three types of salsa served with your meal. I was full after a full day hiking in the mountains.

It seems that I can rarely tell one Mexican restaurant from another. The menus seems to be the same and the food very similar. I love it, but it is predictable. The offering here are different, and terrific. I had a hard time deciding, but both my wife and I loved what we got and came back a couple days... More

Living in Santa Fe, the plaza is an expensive alternative to outside of the loop. Los Potrillos is GREAT Mexican food. They start you out with 3 types of salsa and chips. The menu is full of great dishes. I always go back to the Mole enchiladas. Funky atmosphere, and a local favorite. This restaurant is out of the way... More

This place happened to be close to our hotel and had good reviews so we stopped by for dinner. Good choice. Tacky decor, not fancy, not upmarket, but excellent food! They have some unique specialties, such as the cabrito (goat stew) and the camarones molcajete, served in a mortar, both delicious. It is not very expensive and service is friendly... More

The best by far? Great service ! Found it using trip advisor, thanks for the great reviews. If it wasn't for trip advisor we wouldn't have found such a great place.
