The menu is quite large and has items beyond the normal enchiladas and burritos. We enjoyed our meal.
Wow! A deliciously hot breakfast during a beautifull & snowy day in paradise! The portions of this singularly succulent "Ranchero Style" morning meal were not only prodigious but enticing! Order anything that catches your eye, and stsrt your day with confidence! Here's to your next meal! Salúd!
Los Potrillos is decorated with paintings and even chairs depicting dynamic horses. They serve pretty authentic Mexican food and the presence of many Hispanic locals attests to its appeal. Service was good and they were willing to cater to our 5-year-old picky eater!
This restaurant was a new find for us. The atmosphere is a bit odd because it's in an old Pizza Hut but it has a fun vibe and a western (more than Mexican) feel and look. Menu had a huge selection; can't imagine someone not finding something they would enjoy. There were 11 of us so we made a reservation.... More
If there's a better choice for Mexican in Santa Fe, my wife and I haven't been able to find it after living here for several years. We've returned to this restaurant many times and have always found the service very pleasant and helpful. Although it may be a bit noisy (TVs are always on) and sometimes crowded, we've always been... More
The Shed was disappointing, the Pantry was very good, but the specialty shrimp (the Molcajete - sure I butchered the spelling) was, without question the best Mexican entree I have experienced in quite some time. excellent. reasonably priced, great, freshly smashed guacamole and yummy handmade corn tortillas. Wooohoooo!
Save the money you would spend eating at the Plaza and go to Los Potrillos. Waitstaff was very friendly, service superior, guac the best in NM. The items on the menu were authentic Mexican food.
What a treat! The flavors and decor of La Frontera in Mexico. You walk inside to the delightful aromas of true Mexico. True in theme to northern Mexico, and flavors that reflect the the country as a whole. You can feast on dishes that you have seen in travel shows or have read in Mexican cook books. If you are... I found this place in 2006 after an evening of cruising Santa Fe and finding nothing that was tempting. This time we ate there twice during the visit to New Mexico.( Oct 2013) The wait staff is truly interested in making certain that you have the best service and the best dining experience they can give you. The food is... More
Each September we visit Santa Fe, and each time we enjoy a dinner at Los Potrillos. We enjoy the local flavor. The food is quite good--especially the chili rellenos. Nothing fancy, but good food and service.
