Wonderrful Surprise

Arrived in Santa Fe tired and looked for a convenient place to eat. The Santa Fe Bar and Grill was close and we tried it. One of the specials was sea bass. Coming from the coast of Massachusetts, I was reluctant, but decided to take a chance and ordered it. I am so glad I took a chance. It was... read more

Santa Fe Bar and Grill, A gem in a mall! Great ambiance, food and service. Busy on a Sunday night; best Fried oysters I've had ever! Recommend after a great day touring and you just want to sit down to a good beer and great meal, no fuss no muss! Great value, I would love the recipe for the oysters... More

This is a great spot for lunch or dinner. I have never had a bad meal here. Recently we ordered the pepper crusted steak salad and the baby back ribs. The portions are good sized and tasty. Our beverages were always full. The dining room is tastefully decorated and comfortable.

We've eaten here twice, the first time because it was late evening when we arrived in the city and we were able to find parking. We returned because the food was good and we didn't want to go too far from our condo at Fort Marcy after having been out all day. Again, the food was very good, but the... More

Santa Fe Bar and Grill is a good place for a business lunch. Tables are spaced far apart. Salads are wonderful. My favorite is the Peppercorn Crusted Steak Salad – feeds two people, it is a lot of food. Mexican food is not bad for a gringo place. I have not been to the Grill for dinner.

This place really tries hard to please. Great variety, good service, reasonable prices and good food. Every nite there are three specials as well as the regular menu. The place is very popular but you can always find a table. I recently ate there 5 nites in a row with 5 great meals. I will be back soon.

Nice southwestern fare with great service. When dining alone, you sometimes find the service lacking. Definitely not an issue here. Had the special, a flank steak, which was wonderful accompanied by great southwestern sides.

I posted a review of this restaurant on Tripadvisor on September 2, 2014 and gave the place a five star rating. My recent experience, however, shows why professional restaurant reviewers for newspapers visit a restaurant at least three times before writing a final review. Contrary to my last dining experience, my recent experience was not great. I met three friends... More

The chile relleno was definitely not up to Santa Fe standards. Although the server said it was spicy, it was not. Also the batter was a bit heavy and greasy. The quacamole was fairly good, and the atmosphere is lively.

A group of us ate dinner at the Santa Fe Bar and Grill. The restaurant is very spacious and quite pleasant, but also extremely busy and noisy, especially coming from the bar area. The evening was very cold outdoors and the restaurant was not at all warm. The place is just too cavernous to heat effectively. We were seated at... More
