My husband and I visited primarily because it was relatively close to our hotel. We were surprised by the cute interior, and dining area that looks into the bakery. It was fun to watch while we ate our breakfast. I had blue corn pancakes which were delicious. The service was fast and attentive. I would be happy to go again!

Primarily a bakery with a small cafe (12 tables) in the back. The cafe is unique because one entire wall is a huge picture window that looks into the working area of the bakery so one can watch the bakers work while eating. The small space and the huge window give the cafe an aquarium ambiance. It's cool. The food... More

Great place; interesting views of the pastry chefs at work. Believe it or not the lunch hamburger is one of the best in town. The wait staff could use a little more adreline they go into slow motion at the drop of a hat!!

We sat by the picture window overlooking the bakery. It was a lot of fun to watch the bakers make the cinnamon rolls while we waited for our food. The food came out pretty quickly, and it was very good. I had the eggs benedict. I would go back.

This morning I decided that I needed some exceptional bakery so I headed for The Chocolate Maven on San Mateo Rd. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is spotless and inviting inside. The pastries are truly outstanding; large and delicious. If you get there early enough you can watch the bakers create their art, shaping and... More

We've eaten here about a dozen times over the past 2 years. The last few times we've noticed an "attitude" that has not been pleasant. To be fair, the food is decent. Not great, decent. Ant not inexpensive, either. The ambiance is decent - if you've never been, it's tucked away in a warehouse. Quite quaint & pleasant inside. Deserts... More

Every time we visit Santa Fe, we make sure we hit the Chocolate Maven. We had a great Sunday breakfast. From sweet to savory, every breakfast entree was absolutely delicious. The service is good and the experience makes you want to return again and again.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We went Sunday morning, then again on our way out of town on Monday. If we were locals, I think we would be here every weekend. I had heuvos rancheros, then (after trying my husbands) ended up ordering a side pancake. I do believe it is the best pancake I've ever... More

One of two excellent finds on this trip to SF! Went there based on proximity to our exit route from town today - thank goodness we drove 2 blocks off the hwy to find the garden of Eden! And that the 14-yr-old's pleas for Denny's went unanswered! Not easy to spot, & entrance didn't bode well from the main road,... More

10 of us had lunch last Friday and was happy with the service we had as well as the food. From breakfast for lunch to salads and burgers, it was all good. Portions were perfect and the price was not bad. Now, dessert was by far was the the best. Do try the chocolate cream pie!
