The place was hopping but with a reservation, we were seated within 10 minutes of our time. The outside area is lovely but we were inside, still ok. Started with a Margarita, so-so. Although everyone raves about the guacamole, I passed since I wasn't that hungry. I had the Arroz con Pollo, very tasty. I would recommend the place but... More

Great food with guacamole made right at your table like a Caesar salad would be made. The food was well prepared without being over cooked. You don't leave hungry. The location is north of Santa Fe but worth the trip.

Ate here twice in a week because we were unaware of the guacamole cart on the first visit. Good Mexican/New Mexican cuisine. My wife had some superb scallops and I went with the seafood fajitas, which was also very good. So good, in fact, we went back 3 days later and shared the seafood fajitas which was generous enough for... More

Every year when we come to Santa Fe we eat at Gabriel's and this was same was true..BUT this time we were very disappointed and dismayed! We had a reservation and it was a weeknight, But we were seated in the corner of a large room with only one other dining party. I knew something was wrong from the start,... More

I was expecting to be underwhelmed as I am continuously with New Mexican restaurants. Not many stand out. Gabriel's does. Fantastic atmosphere on the patio, though it doesn't look like much from the road. I thought the table-side guacamole routine was a tourist-trap, but love guac, so I just ordered a side with my meal. I wouldn't have been disappointed... More

Not far (less than 1/4 mile from Buffalo Thunder) Gabriel's has excellent New Mexican and Mexican seafood. The wait staff is friendly and the service is prompt. The outdoor patio is very inviting, however it was raining buckets while I was there so I dined inside. The setting is traditional New Mexico decor. It is well lit and very clean,... More

Location close to the Opera is the best part. How can one rate a restaurant even Average having experienced the following. We four arrived at the appointed time of 5:30 and were seated outdoors along with a few other guests. Yet, I finally had to ask the front desk for service. Till then, no water, no drinks or appetizer orders,... More

A 10-15 minute drive north of Santa Fe - don't forget to check out the Camel rock on your left as you drive up to the restaurant - you will be able to taste true New Mexican cuisine. The fun began in the courtyard where we watched a young woman make a fresh, fresh, fresh Guacamole right at our table.... More

Had a great dinner at Gabriel's.Made to order Guacamole at the table, good house margaritas, and decent red and green sauce.Do not forget to take your picture in the park like waiting area. The views are classic Santa Fe.Feeling lucky you can gamble at Buffalo Thunder which is just down the street!!
