A very pleasant lunch stop for our family group

Although it took us one or two tries to find the place (one of our group grew up in Santa Fe, but couldn't *quite* remember which exit we needed to take from the highway) and we had no reservation, our party was seated promptly near the patio and served up with chips and pico de gallo and... read more

We were going to the opera and wanted to go to a restaurant near the opera venue. Gabriel's is a little past the opera house just off of Rt. 84 northwest of Santa Fe but definitely worth the drive. We were seated right away and our server very quickly came over to take our drink order and also asked if... More

Great place for casual, outdoor dining, lunch or dinner. Indoor ambiance nice too. Silver Coin Margaritas are perfect, always. Go here for good New Mexican and Mexican food. Except for the guacamole, food is never very good or great. Mexican wait staff always friendly and excellent.

What a great Sunday lunch! Excellent service. We started with, and you must also, the guacamole prepared table side, then we each went our separate ways on ordering from the menu. From the taco salad to chicken tamales all four of us enjoyed thoroughly our meals. Can't wait to go back!

As good if not better than our last visit. Recommend the Santa Fe rellenos. The made-at-your-table guacamole was excellent, and the chips were house-made, not out of a bag. Noce & close to the Buffalo Thunder.

We were confused by the widely disparate reviews on this place. It does have some nice views although I wouldn't come for the views. The margaritas were good. The food was OK. The flour tortillas were not home made. The service was slow and inattentive. I would not recommend it.

Everything went well until we parked our cars and entered the restaurant. Reservation was mishandled and the individual seating our group wanted to argue with me regarding the request for patio seating. Even asked if I could identify the gender of who took the reservation. Experience went downhill from there. Save yourself the drive and the frustration and eat anywhere... More

Maybe this place used to be good but our service was terrible and food passable. Wouldn't recommend.

Wow. Again, for 24th year in a row, every August, was so pleased to see the wonderful, quick, efficient, nice service, of delicious, excellent, high quality Mexican food. My favorite Mex place in New Mexico. Drinks great, food fantastic, service quick and friendly.....ambiance/atmosphere fantastic. Well worth the 20-minute drive from Santa Fe...take Exit 176!!!! Careful....no exit sign for Gabriels! Take... More
