Located in the Hotel Santa Fe. Uncrowded table arrangement, acoustics good for conversation. We had two servers, one who brought bread and kept our water glasses filled, who appeared sullen. Our principal server was pleasant, but slow. We split the crab cake appetizer. The texture was chewy and the seasoning was bland. I had the salmon, which was unmemorable, and... More

I had a mix up at my hotel and they offered me dinner for 2 at Amaya. I went with an old friend who works in Santa Fe and we really enjoyed. The atmosphere and service is relaxing and warm. We shared a beet, goat cheese salad, very good. She had the duck breast - tender, done just right. I... More

Great food and friendly folks. The waitress actually suggested a combination of 2 main dishes, and the cook made it up like that! Ambiance was perfect.

We recently spent 2 nights in the Hotel Santa Fe, and dined the last night in their on-site restaurant. We were seated at a well lighted table and enjoyed an excellent meal. Since we had eaten lunch quite late, we decided to take only the roast elk which was on the menu; it was delicious, cooked exactly as ordered (rare)... More

Our experience at the Amaya restaurant was excellent. We were very interested in finding a restaurant serving elk, and found it here! Prices were very good for the quality of food, and service was very friendly and efficient. We have a new favorite - Antonia - because she helped ensure that we could have elk on the last night of... The Amaya, inside the Hotel Santa Fe is truly outstanding and an exceptional restaurant. Beautiful lighting and atmosphere, and artwork along with Native American flute music on Saturday evenings. We had the pub steak and chicken enchiladas, both were delicious and presented beautifully. Jalapeno margaritas a must!!! Service is wonderful and gracious. The Hotel Santa Fe and The Hacienda are... It is inside Hotel Santa Fe, The Hacienda and has warm lights, with live music at night and is a good place to be with family or friends. It's not too formal and the service is correct.

My husband and I met friends for lunch at this lovely restaurant. It was new to us and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful dining room, the delicious food, the varied menu and the superb service. We visited for quite a while before and after we ate. Two Santa Fe friends suggested meeting for dinner at the Hotel Santa Fe. Although I grew up in the area, I'd never heard of it. (The La Fonda, of course. The Compound, sure. But the Hotel Santa Fe?) I was suspicious: It sounded like a stereotypical (to me, at least) expensive and snooty Santa Fe restaurant. Was I wrong! The... More

The menu was eclectic, with a mix of vegetarian, vegan, meat, and New Mexican entrees. The room is too sparsely furnished at dinner, when the glass walls that during daylight look out onto a nicely landscaped courtyard. they should consider adding some evening lighting to the courtyard to draw the eye away from the interior of the dining room, or...
