The Amaya restaurant is definitely one you should consider when visiting Santa Fe. It is in the Hotel Santa Fe which is owned by the Picuris tribe. The hotel is beautiful with amazing Indian art everywhere. They have a fantastic Indian flute player on the weekends. Their restaurant is lovely and you can essentially be outside summer or winter because... More

How lucky I felt when, while dining at Amaya, we were entertained by a group of native dancers. From what i understand, this restaurant, co-located with the Hotel Santa Fe, is entirely native owned. The ambiance here is relaxing and serene. We ate next to a teepee, surrounded by beautiful nature. The service was stellar, helpful, friendly, giving us more... More

I am so delighted to learn that you really enjoyed our Amaya Restaurant which is indeed operated by the Hotel - majority owned by the People of Picuris Pueblo. Sorry about the ‘salty sauce” but please come back and dine with us again soon! kowaen mina so thuu puchi - Have a great day! More

We met Laurence at the bar, very attentive & professional, great Manhattan, he recommend the elk which my friend had and I enjoyed the penne pasta and shrimp. Both meals were excellent and the portions were just right. The patio area is beautiful and well protected from the weather. We had the pleasure of meeting Sophie, the restaurant manager. She... We were in town for a short weekend and decided to try the private tee pee dining at the Hotel Santa Fe Hacienda & Spa. It was super fun and not too hot in the tee pee. You order off the menu from the Amaya which was good. Highlights of our menu were the Elk and the watermelon gazpacho which... More

Enjoyed a nice, new indoor/outdoor dining area. Service and food both excellent. The staff is very attentive and helpful with suggestions for food and local shops and sightseeing. Thoroughly enjoyable experience in dining.

Very nice ambiance headlines this review including live music, large fire pit and resturant with glass walls looking out onto a nice garden. The food selection was unique in that some of the offerings included elk, bison and fresh caught local salmon. Service was exceptional as well.

Like many I was attracted by the fixed menu choice but unlike many I was unimpressed. The tortilla soup was uninspired, was served lukewarm, and tasted quite salty. The salmon was nicely done and the vegetables cooked perfectly and that part of the main course ranked above average but the accompanying lentil and quinoa medley was --once again--overly salty. I am distressed to learn of your disappointment with our restaurant and please accept my apologies for a disappointing experience and I guess we obviously had an “off night”! We are in the midst of changing all our menus for the summer season, so please give us another chance. I promise you we can do better! More
