We wanted to sample everything so we got a flight. Most of the beers were excellent! It was an older crowd. The location was good- in the railroad district.
We enjoyed stopping here for some beer while waiting to check in to our hotel. It was a mixed crowd from families to adults only. The service was good and we liked the autumn beer. We would go back for food and music.
You'd never guess there was a brewpub - or any other reason - down Second Street. Looks all industrial/commercial. But there it is. Who would go to such an out of the way place? Local laborers? Well, we did see some manual worker types inside. But also people in suits and, surprisingly, a number of families with small children and... More
If you visit enough brewpubs in the U.S., some stand out and some don't. This one didn't stand out for me. The atmosphere was fine, the beer was pretty average. We didn't have any food, but it looked like standard bar fare. Definitely ok for an afternoon beer, but nothing special.
It was an adventure to find this place in the dark. We had to call for the final directions and the manager actually came outside and waved us in! Very friendly staff and patrons! Live music on the Friday we were there. Bluegrass, Grateful Dead, CSNY, etc. Talented band. Drinkable craft beer, hearty bar food with some vegetarian options too.... More
It amazes me that the Second St. Brewery on 2nd St. doesn't have better reviews. I really like the beer that is their calling card, and their food. The only bad thing is the location, which makes it hard for me to get there if I'm staying at the plaza without a rent car. I'm planning to be back next... More
We went here to hear a band and stayed for dinner. We ended up splitting an order of nachos, which were decent but not exceptional. Since that's all we ate, it is hard to really review the food. The beer, brewed on site, was very good. I would come back for the beer alone, and if the food turned out... More
We ate dinner and saw one of the local bands perform here during our recnt trip to Santa Fe. We sat outside on the patio and it was a very relaxed location. The local brew was good, the food was standard and the service was fine. Nice place to hangout with the locals.
Whether it's for a burger and a beer or salad and wine, this locals joint has what you need to relax after a long day. With beers made on site and friendly wait staff, this is always on the list of good places to meet friends.
