We love the new little open faced breakfast sandwiches, but how can you skip the croissants? My only problem with this special place is that I want to try every item. We have never had anything that wasn't over the top delicious. They are of the same food philosophy as Tartine in San Fran where the browning creates carmelization flavors... More

This place is small, so you need to be prepared for that, but the coffee was good and the food was delicious. There were refills on large cups of regular coffee, and they do specialty coffee drinks, as well. The baked goods include loaves of various breads, pies, danishes, cinnamon rolls, quiche, tarts, cookies (I think), sandwiches, and tartines. We... More

The best bakery in the Southwest! We stopped by 15 minutes before the bakery closed, and service was positive and friendly. The kitchen was closed but we had a delicious egg sandwich and a gruyere/ham tart. WOW. Really fun to sit and watch the bustling bakery production in this warehouse-style cafe. The new organic bread is a must buy, don't... More

I visited Sage Bakehouse for the first time on my latest trip to Santa Fe. What a treat! I had 2 different types of bread with a vegan corn soup with tarragon butter and homemade peach chutney. The staff was so welcoming and apparently they provide bread to Whole Foods. Beautiful, modern design. Oh, and I loved the cloth napkins.... More

An amazing bakery! Breads and pastries are divine. For a hardy breakfast try one on the tartines. I had one with scrambled eggs and avocado. The eggs were perfectly scrambled served open-faced on buttered toast. Go early and start your day in Santa Fe the right way. Santa Fe is a walking town, so enjoy every decadent calorie!

So worth a wait for freshly baked croissants to come out of the oven. We enjoyed them so much, we came a second morning for another treat. I cannot comment on any other item because our goal was almond croissants and well, mission accomplished. They were by far the best we've ever had (and we hunt for almond croissants worldwide... Yes, there is good bread here in a shrinking baking town and there are very good breads to be had in a number of places, particularly baguettes which are more varied than a town this size should expect. A wonderful multigrain bread from Fano is only to be had in the local Alberson's. But if you are going for breakfast,... More

This is a tiny bakery cafe with only a few chairs. The menu is small as well, two types of regular sandwiches, egg salad or turkey with cheddar when we went. But they have panini, grilled sandwiches, soup, and salad too. We just wanted a couple of sandwiches to eat quickly. They were delicious, the bread is wonderful, real turkey,... More

The Sage Bakehouse is filled with the wonderful smells of freshly baked goods. It always reminds me of my childhood in Germany. The heavenly light Croissants are the very best in town. They come with butter and homemade jam, that is just so delicious! No paper napkins here. Only real cloth, like you get in France. We order our Speltbreads... More
