Wonderful dinner

A beautiful evening in Santa Fe enjoying the outdoor seating at Santacafe. Attentive service by knowledgable servers. Tasty creations by the chef. Our steaks were cooked as requested. A very nice evening was had by all.

I haven't been to Santa Fe in about 10 years but DID remember the fabulous meal I had way back when. 10 years later....the restaurant is still superb! We sat outside, wonderful breeze. Service, food and wine were all terrific. Must be on the list when visiting Santa Fe.

This is the first dinner restaurant in Santa Fe (along with Tomasita's) that I'd actually want to go back to. Too often, in our experience, Santa Fe restaurants in the Plaza area are expensive and disappointing. I'm a bit of a foodie and a pretty good cook, but not into molecular food or other "cutting edge" food trends, and Santacafe... More

Ordinary, but it is ok. Nothing special, nice courtyard dining, and the food is above average. The chairs and tables are less than luxurious.

Twenty years ago, I always dined at Santacafé on each visit to Santa Fe. And last week I returned--finally--and it was still wonderful. The food is creative, the ambiance is peaceful and the owners hard working and insightful. I lunched twice on this Opera visit--no waiting for years this time.

The flat iron steak and peach-raspberry cobbler my husband ordered were both winners.. I was looking for something dairy-free vegetarian and ordered the cactus-mushroom spring roll with a side salad. and tahini. The filling of the spring rolls and the spicy tahini were delicious. However, the spring rolls were fried as opposed to just being wrapped in rice paper which... More

I don't remember much about the food because the hilariously awful service overshadowed everything else. Apparently there is a server who handles drinks and a server who handles the food and never the twain shall meet. We ordered iced tea and other simple drinks from the drink server but he forgot our order so we asked our food server about... More

We went prior to the Santa Fe Opera. There were many people in the restaurant doing the same thing, taking advantage of their happy hour. $5 margaritas, reduced price appetizers. We sat at the bar and enjoyed sharing some apps and having a drink before the opera. The food was excellent and our waiter was great. We have eaten here... More

Could not get a waitperson to come to our table, let alone bring us water. Our drink order arrived by 4 separate attempts. Waitperson got our order wrong. Waitperson OR BUSSER?? was never by our table. Could not get a cup of coffee. A manager NEVER checked on our table. It was a very frustrating painful experience. Lovely outdoor patio

We were given a recommendation to try this restaurant...we were a little wary of it when we walked up to the entrance because it looked a bit seedy (handpainted sign, dingy doorway), but thankfully we decided to take a chance. They have a glorious courtyard that was full of interesting characters (many ladies at lunch with big hats), a great... More
