My friend and I heard that there was a piano bar at Vanessi's, and we decided to go, thinking that it would be the usual dark bar with the usual guy at the piano. Not so. We initially were not sure what to make of Doug Montgomery and his legion of fans. He served up the first few numbers we... More

The food is great, we ate in the bar area and enjoyed the entertainment. The service was marginal at best and we were told the kitchen was behind when our order was taken. Hopefully, they will staff for the crowds they get so service improves, we will be back to try it again as the food was great.

Doug Montgomery is IT! This is a great great evening of fantastic piano music played by a really talented -- and very nice -- guy. A real Santa Fe treasure. The food and drinks are good too...but it's the music you should go for!

Excellent service, really good food, and a very nice atmosphere. We met with two other couples we had not seen for a while. At no point did we feel pressed to finish and leave even though we were about the last group to leave. While we could hear and enjoy the music in the piano bar we were still able... More

My girlfriends and I make it a point to visit Vanessie's when we visit Santa Fe. We were disappointed Dough Montgomery wasn't playing this past weekend, but we really enjoyed Kathy Morrow. The food is pretty good, but we really go for the entertainment.

A really awful brunch, two drinks and an 18% tip and brunch for two was over $100. OK, so Easter Brunches are costly, but for that we expected a good variety and good quality. We got neither. The menu was ordinary and limited. The food was served buffet style. The lamb and prime beef were cold and dry; the salad... More

The wonderful piano bar is superb in every way, and great fun. The food is overpriced, as are the drinks, but the entertainment is worth it. The food isn't bad, mind you, just average to slightly above average, and quite expensive for what it is.

I took advantage of the Restaurant Week prix fixe menu and had a soup, beef filet, and dessert for much less than the full menu cost of each individual item. I think that what was offered was certainly worth it at that price point. I'm not sure I'd pay full price. The food was quite good, but I don't think... More

Nice piano bar near downtown Santa Fe. Tucked away near the plaza ( a few blocks from the Plaza), Vanessie is a piano bar with lively pianists (Doug and Bob) who play a wide range of music (from the 1920's to Billy Joel and the Beatles). Food is okay but it is better for an after dinner venue.

The roast chicken was as good as homemade. If you get tired of chile head here. The piano music excellent.
