A varied menu

It is hard to authenticate the food which can be delicious or not depending upon th chief on duty. Service varies but does not felel authentic. An okay Chinese experience far from a big city with a local Chinese community.

Not your typical Chinese restaurant menu. Very creative and excellent. Decent wine list, reasonably priced. Highly recommend the coffee chicken dish...ask for extra green Bernstein with it.

Chow's can be a night and day experience depending on who's at the front desk. In the past dining in the restaurant the rudeness is beyond acceptable (have stopped dining in) it seems a simple take out order is the way to go as it minimizes the negative interaction with the staff.

There are several Chinese restaurants in Santa Fe. The atmosphere at Chow's is certainly top 2. The food...well, Chun King comes to mind. But in fairness, the dishes served are well prepared, nicely presented and tasty...enough. Its worth verifying their business hours before going. Its way too easy to arrive during their break between lunch and dinner. Still, for Chinese... More

We had been here in October on a visit from Ohio to our grandson who was at St. John College and the food was plentiful and delicious. This time our daughter and son-in-law were also with us. I ordered the walnut shrimp which was my favorite. The guys ordered General Tso's Chicken, and spicy shrimp dish which they shared. Daughter... More

Our food lacked flavor. It was NOT even close to the description on the menu. The waiter was nice, but NOT flexible at all. (We wanted to leave out an ingredient and he was unable to do that.) The owner, the crazy woman at the front desk, was sour and borderline rude. **How has this restaurant stayed in business this... More

Chow's is a Santa Fe institution for Asian food. It's been in the same strip-mall location for over a decade, and while its menu hasn't noticeably altered in that time, it offers a wide range of dishes sure to satisfy every appetite. The Vietnamese chicken wraps are top-notch, and the walnut shrimp is dangerously addictive. You won't go home hungry... More

Came here on a Friday night after stopping at a couple 35 minute waiting other restaurants. Shown to a table right away. Actually a very pleasant atmosphere with American wait staff. A full menu, we ordered the orange beef and the walnut shrimp. Chinese chicken salad was very plain served with a spicy soy sauce. Orange beef was crisply, shrimp... More

As other's have said, Coffee Chicken is to die for. Walnut Shrimp (also on the sweet side) a winner. Lemon Fish is great as are many of the noodle dishes. Beef used is thin, tender and high quality as are all the ingredients. If they have the mussel special, try that. We love to take home their food too, it... More

All I wanted was a dish without onions. The first one that was delivered to my table was loaded with onions. The waiter apologized. The next dish that came out was not the pepper chicken I ordered, but some variation of orange chicken. Tasted pretty good though, until I bit into another onion. The waiter scooped up my plate and... More
