More like a 3.5 . Food better than service.

Five of us on a Wednesday night. Fairly crowded but we did not have to wait to be seated. They took our drink orders right away and drinks came quickly. But then we waited a very long time to place our food order. Food came in a timely manner and was quite good. My sister and I split the... read more

This was within walking distance of the Hotel Santa Fe, and we didn't want a heavy dinner, just a drink and some sides. It was pretty crowded. The food was very good, and the service average. Thank goodness were sitting on the "porch" outside. The music had started and it wasn't very good.

The service, kindness & friendliness of staff, as well as their knowledge of the menu was extensive. BBQ Ribs were AMAZING, as were burgers. And though the restaurant was busy, no one cared because the atmosphere is so much fun with all kinds of memorabilia and "Cowgirl BBQ" merchandise for sale. I LOVED IT!

We had a great meal in a fun environment. The meal was excellent and the wait staff was attentive and good. There was something for everyone -- tv's with sports on, a fun looking bar and a play area for children. Seating is inside and out. The place looked huge. I will go back the next time I am in... If you're looking for something casual with good food and a fun atmosphere with music and nice outdoor seating then try this. This might arguably be one of the best green chile buffalo cheese burger you'll find in Santa Fe. Also the Mexican chow here isn't bad including the chile releno and the soups and chile. I just get a... More

Friday night, about 7:45, 15 minute wait time, they do not take reservations. The service was terrible we only saw our waiter when he initially greeted us then when he took the order. A runner delivered the food, we had to ask for silverware, a clean bottle of ketchup and napkins. The ribs were ordered with sauce on the side, but... More

Visited for lunch and had the beef brisket - cooked just right with a tasty, tangy sauce and good sides, though I wish they would have allowed for a broader range of substitutions, even with an upcharge Lots of other good choices on the menu, which made this a bit of an internal debate. Service was very friendly and prompt.... More

This is a cute little place with a great outdoor patio; dog friendly if that matters to you. They brought out a water bowl for our pooch. Metered parking on the street right in front was convenient. Be sure you put enough money in and park only at a meter, as we saw a car with a boot. Service was... More

Stopped here when up in Santa Fe for weekend. Went here for lunch. Portions were huge. I gave some of mine (I am female) to my friend to eat. Great Brisket. Staffing was very good.

Cowgirl BBQ is a nice change from some of the more stilted restaurants in the area. Casual and fun, the Cowgirl serves up a nice platter of BBQ. I had the combination platter of brisket, ribs, and chicken. A ton of food for decent price. Service was excellent. The place was filled with group and everybody seemed to be enjoying... More
