Giddy Up Cowgirl BBQ

We came into town, it snowed and the only thing my daughter and I wanted was food. We had a to eat at list and Cowgirl BBQ was at the top. This place was funky and friendly. I ordered the Chile Rellenos, which was more than I can eat alone (had to doggie bag the leftovers). My daughter had... read more

Why has it taken me so long to get to this place? I think it's because when the touristas are in town, this place is packed all the time! Well, we are in a lull before the storm of visitors returns and we dropped by for lunch. We split the Mother (it's a fab burger with brie, chile(trufflized, mind you),... More

Whenever I'm in Santa Fe, I try to stop at the Cowgirl - their Mother of All Green Chile Cheeseburgers was a unique taste combination that I really enjoyed! And for dessert, be sure to order the Ice Cream Baked Potato. If the day is nice, sit outside - you won't regret it!

We spent a week in Santa Fe and had dinner twice at Cowgirl. I had the green chili cheese burger and it was amazing! Much better than anywhere else. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great outdoor area for eating. DO try the burger, you will not be disappointed!

The concept appealed to us during our first night in Santa Fe. Service was good and quick. Appetizers were cold and lacked flavor. My dining partner initially ordered the BBQ sampler. Sent it back because it was bland and tough. I had the chicken stack which was just okay. Not worth our money and made our first night ecosystem experience... More

I had been here before, but my husband had not, so we decided to go for lunch. It was about 130, so I think we got there in between shifts. Our waitress who first helped us, didn't return, but another server, picked up and helped us. So, our service had a gap. My husband really enjoyed his reuben sandwich with... More

Service was great and food was good. Nice place to hold a social gathering. Outdoor dining is available too!

This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Everything was horrible, from the service to the food. Waitress was rude and dishonest about the food options. The BBQ was average at best. Not worth the money!!!

As always, we do our best to ensure a positive guest experience and after 22 years we have had a few "misses" along the way. Sorry this visit was disappointing. We'd love to hear from you personally by email or phone so we can address specific issues. Respectfully yours, Cowgirl owners. More

We had heard this was a good, fun place to go for casual dining. It wasn't bad, just not memorable, and definitely not worth a second trip. You can find better food and friendlier service in hundreds of other restaurants in any city in the US. Santa Fe is the "Mecca" for food, so pass this one up and try... More

This is a BBQ joint that for some reason gets large crowds. If karaoke is your thing and you like noisy, phony cowboy type places this may be the one for you. Certainly NOT the best Santa Fe has to offer.
