An original take on the crust: made of corn flour instead of wheat flour and SO delicious , every topping that you can think of is available. Staff is exceptionally friendly and hard working. A great array of soft drinks, beer and wines to choose from; tucked into a convenient off the street location where parking is never a problem.... More

Hidden on a small street you enter and find it packed to the brim with hungry eaters. The sandwiches are terrific and the soups are amazing.

If there was a three and a half star rating, I would have used that. There were some great soup selections that our party tried. Then there were a couple of disappointments - bland, nothing special. It does get crowded so local folks like it. It is a cash only place so plan accordingly.

I would never have found Back Street Bistro and even had I walked past it, I would never have walked in. I was taken there by a local and trust me - go seek this place out! It may not be the best ambience but it has a good down to earth feel about it (and check out the cool... More

With the fall weather setting in, it's a perfect time to go to Back Street Bistro, although it's great to go anytime! Today I had the Vegan Curry Coconut Squash and Tofu. I am not a vegetarian but this soup is so very good!!! The Mongolian Mushroom is wonderful and one of the town's favorites as it is always on... More

We ate at Back Street Bistro on the recommendation of a store owner that we always do business with when in Santa Fe. We had the half sandwich and soup. Forget the sandwich and go for the soup! A cup of soup is really a bowl, in my opinion. My husband and I both had the Hungarian Mushroom--which was delicious!... More

When yearning for good soup when visiting Santa Fe, this during the day spot should be considered. A white board list of soups traditional and innovative! The Hungarian Mushroom is my favorite. Cups are what other restaurants serve as bowls. Soups are a better bet than the sandwiches which can disappoint. Off the beaten tourist path but prices are quite... More

A cold weather lunchtime staple. I love the soups at Back Street Bistro. My favorite is the Hungarian Mushroom, which is usually on the menu. The exact soups available on any one day are varied and varying. The ambiance is utilitarian, so f you want fancy or "Santa Fe Style" this is not the place for you... which is probably... More

I was in Santa Fe accompanying my bf on a convention. I felt like soup for lunch, and he loves sandwiches so we found Back Street Bistro on the internet. I LOVED it. Firstly, they make everything there - including yummy lemonade and all the desserts. They have an extensive soup menu - 4 to 6 soups daily with vegan... More

Not really a Nazi... ha. Really really good soup and sandwiches. Think crunchy warm bread and fresh deli meats dipped in a creamy soup. Definitely an off the path local hangout that is worth checking out
