Great for lunch or dinner during or after you Canyon Road exploits. Food is consistently excellent. Stay for the entertainment as they have really good bands.

When we were planning our trip to Santa fe I researched tons of restaurants and we really excited about trying El Mason. The location was great and the service was great but the food was very disappointing. Since we were on vacation we went all out and order soups, entrees and dessert and none of them had much flavor at... More

This Spanish restaurant featured an extensive menu and wine list. We chose several tapas, all of which were delicious, and the traditional paella. Margheritas were not exceptional and I would skip for the price. Otherwise a good experience.

Note: I have been to El Meson approx six times over the past two years. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. The reasons are: 1. The service is always top-notch. Honestly, they make us feel welcome every time. They go out of their way to accommodate me and my family, which includes two five-year-olds. The menu... More

El Meson has the perfect setup. You can choose the lively bar/lounge with a tapas menu and frequent live entertainment or the quiet dining room where you can select from the tapas menu or more tradtional full dinner fare. The dining room is decorated with lots of family antiques, direct from Spain. In the winter, the roaring fire adds warmth... More

this is the best in santa fe. so many over-rated restaurants that prey on unsuspecting tourists there, but this one is real. it has it all. its odd that this restaurant is rated less than 100 in popularity, because it puts the other favorites to shame. but if you have the opportunity to dine there, you will notice that most... We went to El Meson for our last dinner in Santa Fe, on the recommendation of our friend who has a second house there, where we had been staying. It was our best meal, with excellent tapas that were just the right amount of food for us before going to the opera that night. But the service was even more... More

We were referred to this hidden gem of a restaurant by our innkeeper at our B&B. We never would have seen it ourselves, but the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner for two! The food was traditional spanish cuisine, so we shared the seafood Paella for two with a great bottle of white our waiter reccommended for us. We... More

We wanted a light meal and were very pleased to find El Meson's tapas menu to be exactly what we were looking for. The food was good and the service was outstanding. We could hear live music and a lot of audience response coming from the bar, but after dinner, when I inquired about seating in the bar, the hostess... More
