Have had a couple of fine dinners at El Meson, but this one was disappointing and ordinary. From the start the food was subpar including calamari and 'special' salad. Presentation was completely lacking. What a disappointment. Our next visit will not include El Meson.

A group of six ate in the dining room. The outside bar was more crowded with live music playing that could also be heard in the dining room. If music is on and you want to converse at a large table, better sit in the dining room. Fried eggplant appetizer was worth eating. Main courses that got rave reviews were... More

I have travelled to Spain as well as 35 other countries with a good taste of real Paella. Menu had great selection and service was excellent. The hostess is very helpful. I really enjoyed my anchovy starter. I ordered the black rice seafood paella which is made from squid ink. The rice was overlooked (soft) and the squid ink was... More

It was crowded at the bar but because of live music on a Friday night. My husband and I like to sit away from the music so we can hear each other talk. The dining room was perfect. You could hear the music but carry a conversation. Our waiter recommended fantastic tapas and we were pleased with everything. We also... More

The tapas are very authentic and the selection was good if not extensive. We enjoyed the paella and were glad of the waiters suggestion about portions. Good wine list. Okay sangria. Like many restaurants these days, it was very noise. Reservations are a must.

We live in Denver and I wish we had a place like this for tapas, but we don't so I have to spend all winter fantasizing about eating at El Meson. I think this place is the real deal. The service is impeccable, and it feels like at least your mouth is in Spain. It's not cheap, but no uncomfortable... More

Very reminiscent of Spain. Tapas were good- some excellent, some average. Jamon was very good. Gazpacho amazing. Bread and olive oil very authentic. Pimenotos okay. Jazz music playing. Fun spot.

So we went here based on a review describing the true Spanish way of cooking payella. Unfortunately, you need to ask them to cook it withe the crispy socorat on the bottom. IT was ok food but we do better in pur backyard

With great friends, our first time here. All the small plates were each big enough to share and delicious. The steak and blue cheese, grilled shrimp and others were delicious. Leave enough room to share a pan of perfectly cooked paella!
