The place is attractive, and the tapas were fine, however they were not anything special but what you normally would have in a Spanish Tapas place, but the price for food that was with simple ingredients was too high. For example. the tortilla espanola which is just egg, potato and onion in a small cazuela, and the thin and few... More

We've been coming to Santa Fe for some time over the past 8 years. When we we first came to el meson, we found it terrific and made a point to eat here every trip afterwards. Last night however, was not a good experience. The tapas were good, but, the seafood paella lacked any flavor. The shrimp, calamari and fish... More

This place has been in business for decades, and good food must be the reason. We had a variety of tapas that were interesting and flavorful. Service was great. It wasn't noisy or crowded. Will definitely go again.

Scallops were rubbery and overcooked, and my artichokes were too tough. The tapas menu did look interesting and I might go back to try something else. Just not scallops or Artichokes.

Over the years El Meson mellows like a fine bottle of wine. An excellent choice of very authentic tap pas plus a good selection of Spanish wines reasonably priced. Their fine reputation continues to expand so……….make a reservation. Dinner only.

Our first time to dine here. We chose it because our favorite flamenco guitarist was playing and we had not heard him in a couple of years. The tapas we chose were nothing short of spectacular with the exception of the scallops which were only so-so. The wine list was very good but, as you might expect, focused on Spanish... More

Agree with most others that the food here is excellent. And a pretty good value for a classy place although the wine list was not inexpensive. We went with various tapas dishes and all were very fine. A good location not far from the Plaza.

Our family had dinner at El Meson on Tuesday. We enjoyed a table in the bar area, listening to the flamenco guitarist. Our tapas selections were delicious, especially the cheese stuffed artichoke hearts and the pork loin. The bread is delicious, we had several refills! I enjoyed a glass of sangria, and my flan dessert was outstanding. Our daughter loved... More
