Third or fourth visit, still outstanding

We live in Denver and I wish we had a place like this for tapas, but we don't so I have to spend all winter fantasizing about eating at El Meson. I think this place is the real deal. Very reminiscent of Spain. Tapas were good- some excellent, some average. Jamon was very good. Gazpacho amazing. Bread and olive oil very authentic. Pimenotos okay. Jazz music playing. Fun spot.

So we went here based on a review describing the true Spanish way of cooking payella. Unfortunately, you need to ask them to cook it withe the crispy socorat on the bottom. IT was ok food but we do better in pur backyard

With great friends, our first time here. All the small plates were each big enough to share and delicious. The steak and blue cheese, grilled shrimp and others were delicious. Leave enough room to share a pan of perfectly cooked paella!

Great Spanish eating experience. The dishes are authentic and tastefully prepared, each and every one of them. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to answer questions quickly and precisely. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we found our serving of jamon iberico too small for the price, and the sangria was disappointing - too... More

We made reservations through Open Table 30 min ahead. Everything was very smooth when we arrived. We enjoyed the tomato soup- 5 star! We also had tapas: sausage, scallops, shrimp, eggplant, lamb kabobs, the tortilla. All were just excellent. The only tapa to dissapoint was the chicken and leek. It just did not compare to the others. Service was fantastic.... More

Located a little west of the Plaza. The restaurant is spacious, tables of dark wood, not too close. Noise level good for conversation Our server, Noah, was fast and attentive. The menu features tapas, but also has about a half dozen larger plates, and about a half dozen different types of paella. Fried oysters - 3 to a serving, in... More

This is a casual restaurant serving primarily tapas and lighter southwestern fare. The sangria was excellent. On some evenings that have a program of locals of locals dancing the tango.

It has been over five years since we were last at El Meson in Santa Fe but we were looking for good paella and we had been disappointed by one of the other noted Spanish restaurants a few nights before. The paella wasn't as spicy as I like but it had an excellent socarrat (crispy caramelized rice) on the bottom... More

My friend and I found ourselves wanting a meal at 9pm in Santa Fe. We noticed that El Meson, which is near the square, was open. The ambiance was elegant but comfortable. The Tapas were perfect for a late evening meal. Our waiter was a delight despite the late hour. We decided to share a little bit of everything. I... More
