Over the years El Meson mellows like a fine bottle of wine. An excellent choice of very authentic tap pas plus a good selection of Spanish wines reasonably priced. Their fine reputation continues to expand so……….make a reservation. Dinner only.

Our first time to dine here. We chose it because our favorite flamenco guitarist was playing and we had not heard him in a couple of years. The tapas we chose were nothing short of spectacular with the exception of the scallops which were only so-so. The wine list was very good but, as you might expect, focused on Spanish... More

Agree with most others that the food here is excellent. And a pretty good value for a classy place although the wine list was not inexpensive. We went with various tapas dishes and all were very fine. A good location not far from the Plaza.

Our family had dinner at El Meson on Tuesday. We enjoyed a table in the bar area, listening to the flamenco guitarist. Our tapas selections were delicious, especially the cheese stuffed artichoke hearts and the pork loin. The bread is delicious, we had several refills! I enjoyed a glass of sangria, and my flan dessert was outstanding. Our daughter loved... More

Had tapas, not on a par with Spain but reflecting local tastes. Good selection of dishes, well presented and prepared. Attentive but unobtrusive service, reasonably priced.

Eight of us dined at El Meson early Friday evening, before the Sante Fe opera. Service was very good and helpful, which was important for choosing among the many menu items. The Spanish wine selection also was very good. The restaurant, just a short distance from the Plaza was not crowded at that time. Arrive early for your reservation, because... More

If their online reservation system is any indication of the restaurant's food and service i would avoid this place like I did. the quality restaurants in Santa Fe use Open Table, El Meson uses some Google concoction and get this - they say that just because you filled out the form does not mean you have reservation and they ask... Great spot just around the corner from the town plaza. Very friendly staff, with a cozy ambiance backed by an awesome traditional menu that weighs heavy on Spain's most popular dishes. In fact, it was so good that we made a reservation for the following evening!
