A "Must" When in Santa Fe

We went to the Friday night flamenco show, and it was as good as flamenco in Spain. The tapas were excellent. We also had a great bottle of Spanish red wine. The staff was well-trained. It was a wonderful time!

First time there and glad I had a reservation as people stacked up waiting to enter -- generally a good sign. Wasn't aware there are two rooms with the right entry having jazz (if you came for the music, as I did) and the left for quieter conversations (where I ended up -- the hostess didn't ask and didn't tell... We walked in without a reservation & were told it would be a 15 minute wait for a table. We headed to the bar & before we got our drinks, we were shown to our table. Wonderful ambiance, relaxed & inviting atmosphere. We started with the calamares served with two sauces, tomato & Alioli. Delecious! The gambas ajillo, were perfection.... More

Great restaurant with wonderful service near the city square. I had the steak and it was exceptional. Like most of the Santa Fe restaurants, it was expensive. Add a drink and appetizer and dinner was well over $100 for 2 of us. If you're looking for great food, we'd recommend El Meson.

My husband and I spent a delightful evening at El Meson on New Year's Eve. Having eaten here before, we knew to make reservations for a holiday. An energetic vibe complemented the warm surroundings. Throughout the meal, our waiter was attentive, providing excellent advise on wine to pair with our meal. We began our meal with two tapas. Flash fried... More

We went there because it was highly recommended, the singers and dancers were terrible, the food was ok but the goat cheese was tasteless!

Tapas and smooth jazz was the order of the evening. My husband and I enjoyed delicious tapas, a pitcher of sangria and we're lucky enough to experience a jazz group that was simply amazing? What an evening.

My family eats out at a lot of Spanish tapas restaurants. The portions were too small for the price. The sangria is always expensive. It was $40 for a pitcher but the pitcher was small & the sangria was not that great. My husband makes sangria at home & we know what it should taste like. The solomillo which is... More

Made the reservation through Open Table. We were seated in the dining room, totally separate from the bar area where the Jazz is happening. The service was spectacular but the food was disappointing. We ordered the soup special, a beef stew, and it tasted like it had come from a can of Campbell's Soup. For a $1.25 can, you'd expect... More
