Great southwestern food

Walked in off the street as son had a taco craving. This place is not a tex mex - it is very upmarket southwestern food with Mexican emphasis. We started with the guacamole made at the table which was seriously good. My son's taco and my burrito were great and my husband's pork was delicious. The... read more

Having read some fairly excellent reviews of this restaurant before my stay at La Fonda, I was anxious to dine here. After checking in the hotel, I had to wait for my room so I decided to have a late lunch here. I selected the La Plazuela Combination as it came highly recommended by my server. The food was plentiful... More

This is our go to place when in Santa Fe. The food is not Tex-Mex but very good as are their marqueritas. Reservations needed at least for dinner. The service was slow but they were busy. The sopaipillas which came with dinner were dry and tasteless but the honey helped. Will go back next time we are in town.

Wonderfully upscale southwest flavors. Beautiful service by a competent staff. Would recommend, and will definitely return.

We had both breakfast and dinner here, as we were staying in the hotel and found it to be very convenient. I chose 2 appetizers as my dinner, and they were delicious (I had the pork carnitas -- VERY tasty -- and the tortilla soup -- loved the way the chicken, avocado, and cheese were molded together and "floated" on... We always eat here at least once during our Santa Fe trips. We love the atmosphere - high ceiling, lots of light, painted panes in mullioned windows and a round fountain in the middle! The service is always friendly and courteous. I had the Chargrilled Barrel Cut Pork Ribeye served with BBQ sauce and it was delicious ! My wife... More

We took our nephew and his fiancé to eat at La Fonda because of the history of the hotel and the beautiful decorations. What we did not expect was to find the food to be exceptionally good. The posole was they best I have ever had. Can't wait to return and next time we will stay at the hotel. :)

This restaurant had wonderful food. My husband had the enchiladas (he suggests staying with the meat enchiladas-the cheese one had little flavor) and I had the burrito. We will definitely come back here to eat next time.

When in Santa Fe we always have breakfast at thus La Fonda Hotel dining room. The food selection is indicative of the area...the egg dished are are always good as is the side order of biscuits and sausage gravy with green chili. Service is always attentive and friendly. Its a perfect way to start a morning in Santa Fe!
