I had read about La Fonda in 109 East Palace and wanted to see what some of the characters had experienced. What a totally delightful oasis. The service could not be better, the food was beyond delicious and the atmosphere was so very quiet and restful for a meal not to mention very, very pretty. I had the Torta de... More

Eat on the roof in the Bell Tower, or just go up for a drink. It has a beautiful view of the plaza and the mountains in the distance. For a beautiful spot, I found the prices to be very good as well as the food. They also have neat fireplace tables and blankets to keep off the chill. I... More

That's why I came, and they were fantastic! I went with Christmas because both chiles were so different and flavorful. The rellenos were crispy, lightly fried and still crunchy when served. The tableside guacamole is worth it, even if you are dining alone. It was delicious, even the next day as a snack. Definitely worth a visit!

I celebrated my 50th birthday at La Plazuela. It was the perfect place for a little taste of everything New Mexican. The food was excellent and the staff accommodating. I recognized my waitress from years gone by. She has been working there for 28 years. You can tell it's a happy place. I had the chili relleno and my friends... More

It is always a treat to wander through La Fonda and imagine life in the Fred Harvey days and admire the many hand-painted adornments throughout the hotel. The food in the now-enclosed courtyard with its working fountain and wonderful hand-painted windows is reliably good, if a bit pricey. Parking is free if the lot isn't full.

For an old Santa Fe kind of experience, eat here at The La Fonda Hotel. La Plazuela is situated in an atrium with a fountain in the center, the glass windows surrounding it are all hand painted with New Mexican folk art designs, and the furniture is old Spanish Colonial. The entire ambience is traditional and authentic Santa Fe, and... More

One of the most satisfying meals of our entire road trip through Arizona and New Mexico. We shared a large fajita plate which shrimp and chicken, which was perfectly satisfying. The sopasilla (indian fry bread) with honey was off the chart and made the meal even more memorable. The drinks were perfection. Our server had worked there for nearly 30... More
