Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bills vision in carrying on the family business We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I, or Alice, can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.

Still the best breakfast in Santa Fe

The new one is as good as the old one! The breakfast burrito is spicy and huge, and those bakery baskets are amazing. Awesome food and great service.

It's worth the wait and I've been waiting for over a year. Were glad there back. I would disregard the questionable reviews as they just opened and as with everything they are working out the kinks and doing a great job with the process. Fair warning, the red chili will get you every time, its HOT! Don't miss the bakery... More

Four of us went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and were amazed by the number of customers already in the cafe. We got the last table available in the cafe's three rooms, and all the stools at the bar were taken. Service was prompt and attentive ... maybe too attentive. Servers came by constantly for a 15-minute period,... More

With all of the reviews I was expecting awesome. We got good for the most part. Disappointed in the French toast. I chose the orange poppyseed and it was dry and I had a hard time swallowing it. The bakery basket was very good and my husbands omelette was good although pretty small. Our waiter must have been new. He... More

Just visited Tecolate's new Santa Fe location on St. Michael's Drive. The new spacious resturant was packed on a Friday morning - a happening place with exceptional customer service and delicious fresh New Mexican food. Our awesome breakfast (Huevos Yucatecos & Huevos Rancheros) meals were accompanied with a bakery basket filled with homemade biscuits, muffins, & cinnamon rolls! Kudos to... More

This restaurant had moved just the week we were there and still the service was great and the food was delicious! The meal began with a bread basket for each of us which had two biscuits, a cinnnamon roll, and a corn muffin...almost enough for a meal. I had a cup of soup which was delicious and a side salad... Tecolote just reopened 2 days before our visit. It had been closed for 14 months after a forced closure due to lease issues. They took their time to reopen, moving into a strip center and creating a surprisingly large space. We got in just before the early morning rush and just before the mid-morning rush. Service was fun and friendly,... More

Sitting at the long bar by myself, I was happy to see the old favorites. The bakery basket is a dream and the sheepherder dish is a spicy as ever with a set of over easy eggs. Coffee is strong and plentiful. A bit of a wait for the main eventas it was crowded, but the coffe and bakery basket... More

We had heard good things about the Tecolote Cafe, and were pleased to learn that it was going to reopen shortly before our planned trip to Santa Fe. It is currently located in a strip mall on St. Michaels just off Cerillos. We visited at around 10:30 on a Friday morning. Even at that non-peak time, the hostess apprised us... More
