Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.

Intriguing name but offering intriguing dishes as well

Terrific Southwestern breakfasts. Everything we ordered was great, from huevos rancheros to red chili pork and eggs to huevos yucatecos — corn tortilla layered with black beans, two eggs, green chile, swiss & feta cheese, pico de gallo, and fried bananas. A real find!

This is a popular Santa Fe restaurant, mainly known for breakfast. For one reason or another I lived in Santa Fe for 10 years before visiting it, when I happened to be there twice within a month. Both visits were for meetings with groups of friends. The first time was breakfast, and I ordered their granola bowl, fruit, yoghurt with... More

New fan of Tecolote Cafe, had another great breakfast last weekend and finding this a great place for a large variety of breakfast options. This time, tried the sheepherder's breakfast. Very good, great chile (had of course Christmas), prefect eggs, and what I like to call a 'sloppy-moppy' kind of breakfast. My wife had the bakery basket which is more... More

Tecolote re-opened in a new location in July of 2015. I was a little apprehensive about going there because of the relocation, and because it had been ten years since I last visited Santa Fe-- I was afraid that my palate may have changed in the intervening years that I have spent living in Southern NM. I needn't have worried--... More

TripAdvisor still has the old address for Tecolote. It is now located on St. Michael's near SFUAD. It took a while for them to come back, but we are glad they did. This is a place that serves food the Santa Fe way. If you love spicy chili, this is the place to get it. What I love specifically is... More

We had breakfast on Saturday and were lucky to get a table with no wait. The restaurant prides themselves on breakfast with "no toast" We had fabulous pancakes and french toast along with delicious muffins. The Kid breakfast pancake with sausage was huge, so Dad and Grandad got to share it. They have the formula for a great pancake!

We had to eaten at Tecolate in many years but remembered its excellence. It's still fantastic!! They've just moved to a new, much larger location with a bakery and the food is awesome. Our breakfasts were delicious and the added joy is the bakery basket that came with my breakfast. A biscuit, blueberry muffins, and a corn muffin were all... More

Wow!!! Love this place. We went once before in an older location, their new location is amazing and allows them to seat so many more people. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food SPECTACULAR! So many favorites, but don't leave without trying the jalepeno bacon.

Excellent range of tasty choices for a breakfast/brunch.Service was superb. Good competition for The Pantry but The Pantry has a better layout for groups larger than four.

The thing I enjoy about Santa Fe is the number off out of the way places the locals recommend for breakfast and lunch. The funnything is we got a recommendation for Tecolote from an attractive young lady from the Detroit suburbs on here way to visit her grandparents. It's on St Michael's & we had to GPS it but what... More
