Great Food

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was fun. We had a very attentive waitress. We were there at lunch time, but didn't need to wait.

I arrived at 11:10 a.m. and the restaurant was fairly empty. By the time I left an hour later, it was full and hopping. I sat on the patio and selected one of a couple of tables without an umbrella to enjoy the sun. Justin took my drink order - a small Bosque Lager, a nice Albuquerque brew. Natalie took... More

Had no assumptions but wound up with the most flavorful fish tacos I've ever had. The wife was absolutely pleased also. Make this a mandatory stop when in the area. You'll never regret it.

La Choza's parking lot was full, but they handled our large and slightly fussy group with ease. The waiter was patient and suggested and provided a taste of the chili to a delicate stomached guest. Everyone was pleased with their orders. There were no standouts, however.

As the sister restaurant to the more famous Shed in downtown Santa Fe, La Choza offers about the same level of food, but at a location where you're much less likely to face a one- or two-hour wait than at The Shed. La Choza is still fairly close to the Plaza area, though probably a little farther than most folks... More

La Choza offers authentic New Mexican cooking in a pleasant, colorful atmosphere. Enchiladas, quesadillas, posole, cooked well and served generously.

La Choza is the sister restaurant to the Shed restaurant which is located downtown on the plaza and draws crowds of tourists. La Choza restaurant has all the quality while being off the beaten path near the rail yard. La Choza does draw visitors along with locals to some of the best red chili in Santa Fe in a warm... More

Haven't been here for awhile and won't be back for a long time. Nice ambiance and decor- seated on time for our reservation- overall we were disappointed in food and 3 out of 4 drinks- I almost sent my margarita back for them to add the tequila they must have forgotten- one person had a glass of Chardonnay which was... We were told The Shed was the place to go for best Mexican food in town. Went here because is the sister restaurant. Had a 30 min wait. Service was pretty good. Food was fair, but not the best Mexican I have ever had.
