Beautiful patio, good food, especially the Chile Rellenos, one of the best in the area. Excellent service, friendly staff and again nice to sit out on the patio. No matter what day of the week you go, make sure and make a reservation....the locals were out in force when we were there on a Thursday. Convenient parking lot next door.

Well, it's just not worth it. The chile was ok, but the plate looked like slop thrown about with cheese on top. Not to mention, I'm a vegetarian and pork was on my plate. Not cool. The waitress too was less than amicable, rather seemed like she was unhappy to be there. Needless to say, we won't be back again,... More

I was going to give them 3 stars, which for a New Mexican (NM) food restaurant is tops (this is not gourmet food). Not that La Choza (LC) serves the best NM food. Palace has better fish tacos. Atriscos has better food overall but very uneven quality and service. We just had LC's burrito grande and the tortilla was soggy,... More

We have La Choza on our itinerary every time we go to Santa Fe. Found it when we went to The Shed in Old Town and it was to crowded to wait. La Choza is owned by the same owner, and is in Santa Fe's barrio area. The food and crowd reflected it's location. Can't get anymore authentic than this.... More

Found this place by accident really and what a wonderful surprise!. It is my very favorite place in Santa Fe now. New Mexican food has always been preferred to the Tex-Mex or Cali versions for us, and this is some of the very best! Wonderful selection of margaritas, and fabulous NM food. It is in the rail yard area (a... More

This was the last dinner we had in Santa Fe. The food was excellent. and from what everybody told us, was real, authentic Santa Fe style food. The prices are very reasonable, the portions large, and the food tasted amazing. We were able to eat outside in the patio which made for a very nice evening. The staff were pleasant,... More

A friend's recommendation was good in that it was easy to park. But the good ends there. We didn't like our soggy enchiladas, and they sure weren't worth all the loud noises in that crowded place. The service was lacking too. We won't go back.

This restaurant is owned by the same people as The Shed. It has really amazing food and visited by locals. The interior is very Santa Fe quirky in style and the food is absolutely amazing. Loved the chile relleno smothered in green chile. They also had a very affordable kids menu ( with a coloring page and crayons). Actually, the... More

Margarita heaven! Check out the chicken Adobada as part of the combination plates. Usually the spices are for beef, but here the chicken is tasty. Nine folks were well served, with some of us getting drinks dusting the wait for tables. All were pleased with their orders.

As a sister restaurant of The Shed, La Choza holds its own juuuuuuust fine. We spent a recent Saturday lunch on the patio at "Choza" sipping icy, limey Negra Modelos and hoovering red chile carne adovada enchiladas. There is no better place to do that in Santa Fe beyond perhaps, Maria's, which has no patio, and The Shed itself, which... More
