Best meal in Santa Fe

After checking many reviews and TA, we decided dinner would be either at The Shed on the Plaza - or it's sister location, La Choza in the old adobe headquarters of the Mercer Ranch. After calling to check on wait times (yes, wait times on a Wednesday in mid-May!) and being told The Shed was an... read more

I echo the feelings of the previous reviewer 100%. Have these folks no shame, whatsoever!! We've dined here numerous times and it's not great, by any stretch-- just an ok place. We, and numerous other locals, will NEVER come here for a drink or meal ever again!! Tell everyone you know to NEVER ORDER A DRINK HERE... they may call... More

I read in USA Today, where you served your famous customer alcohol and then called the cops on him to report a drunk driver ? Shame on you! Your establishment should be boycotted! Don't over serve him then turn him in!!

Very solid menu of New Mexican dishes. Great combination plates or a rib eye and enchilada; whatever your mood your palate will be happy. Chiles are spicy. Ask for sour cream to help the less adventurous.

don't wait in line, this is a partner restaurant to The Shed (just off the plaza, downtown) and guess what --- there are no lines and the food is just as good. If you have good legs, you can walk there. It is where St Michael's drive crosses Cerrillos Road and the railroad tracks.

La Choza was more of a local go to place than a tourist destination. Service was very good. Our group of 6 was a little on the boisterous side but was muffled some by the chatter in the room. The food was very good. One of our party was served the wrong dish, but didn't care since it was so... More

I love their other restaurant, the Shed. We only go to La Choza when we can't find a place to park at the Shed or it's too crowded. This trip it was too crowded. But I was sorry we settled for less than my favorite. The food wasn't as good as similar Tex-Mex at home, and the place was miserably... More

This has to be my new favorite new mexican food place in town. The red chili is quite spicy but very good. The stacked enchiladas are my favorite. Very busy all the time but worth the wait.

Stopped for lunch on a bicycle ride. People entering and exiting said the food was great and they were right.
