Longest wait ever

So the only negative was the fact we had to wait 2 hours to get a table. We were told, at most, the wait time would be an hour and 15 min. Unfortunately the night we went, there were 2 large groups hogging all the tables. They stayed at these tables for over 2 hours pushing the wait time even... read more

I love the food and loyal staff: ) tonight I choose the tamale plate, veggie. For my appetizer I ordered a hot fudge sundae with raspberry sauce! My drink is a rebel margarita I must say is awesome.

Our friends who live here and who frequent this establishment invited us to join them for dinner. Food was authentic, well prepared and tasty. Service was excellent. Our friends have tried almost everything on the menus and have never had a bad meal.

I came here on a recommendation from a local manicurist while in town for business. She did not lead me wrong. Everything was fantastic, the service was friendly and attentive and the food. The food. :) Per the recommendation, I had the mushroom soup with a splash of green chile stew as an appetizer. It sounded weird, but I like... More

This is a wonderful place to eat. Food Network picked it as their top 10 favorite Holiday Meal location in the country. The meal did not disappoint. The margaritas were terrific and the food was a perfect Santa Fe style cooking! Get the Nachos! The honey and sopapillas were my favorite! Our most reasonably priced meal on the trip and... More

This restaurant came recommended as the favorite of the locals for authentic new mexican / southwestern. Busy place just off old downtown. Lively atmosphere. Good service. Blue corn enchiladas, carne adobado, red and green chile, excellent! Warm sopapillas served with dinner. Will go back for sure.

This was our second visit to La Choza, we had enjoyed a dinner there on a previous visit to Santa Fe. La Choza is a bit off the beaten track but worth the effort to find it. It was quiet when we visited for a 2 PM lunch. The food and service were very good. Our party enjoyed a variety... More

We were a party of about 15 (co-workers out to lunch) celebrating our birthdays for lunch. One person was placing the veggies in his burger when he picked up the lettuce and was about to put it in his burger he noticed the eggs. We showed the staff and they took it away, but never apologized although they didn't charge... More

This was my best meal in Santa Fe! The bartenders have been wonderful each time I have been. I learned of a new favorite beer from the bartender, and I have never had a bad cocktail either. The house margarita is better than just about anything you could possibly make. I have had numerous dishes from my own plate and... More

There are so many places to get good New Mexican food so it starts to just be a matter of personal taste and degrees as to which are "best". La Choza has a long history and they offer solid offerings. Some people think that their red chili is some of the best, others prefer the green. They make very good... More
