Great Food

Little sister of The Shed. Great New Mexican food and killer margaritas and the price was lower. Make reservations because it fills up quickly.

This restaurant has two branches and I only ever visited the one on 905 Alarid Street, which is the local favorite and it is always packed. The forty minute wait is a given BUT it is super easy because the bar here serves the best margaritas in the world. But more important than the margaritas is the company at the... More

This funky little hideaway down by the tracks is a treasure. Great Southwestern recipes leap off the menu. Wonderful wait staff to compliment the perfectly prepared traditional dishes. Cocktails have a SW flair and there is a local beer selection. The place looks like one of the original buildings in the Santa Fe Pueblo. Really can't miss having a great... More

The friends we were traveling with recommended this place to us, apparently from a friend of theirs. I was impressed with the bar service. We had to wait 30 minutes for our table, and the bartenders seemed to go out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The martini I had was good, even with well gin, and came... More

We went to this restaurant after several recommendations. The wait was about one hour on a week night. The food was okay. The restaurant has a good vibe and great drinks. If you can try to find another place to eat!

We've eaten at La Choza many times and though it is always very busy, the food is consistently good, the service a bit slow, but, since it is New Mexico, we don't get stressed about it. The sauces are spicy and complex, especially in the chile stew and the posole. The enchiladas are huge and delicious, with tender meat. The... More

La Chosa was recommended to us for the best New Mexican. We waited for 1.5 hours on a Monday night for dinner. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait (at most!). We were finally seated. Beef tacos and fish tacos were average. Nothing special. On the positive -- Margaritas were very good. Sopapillas that came with the... More

Every time we visit Santa Fe, La Choza is at the top of the list to visit. Cheese Enchiladas, Tacos, Chili Rellanos, red and green sauce, tortilla chips, and a pitcher of sangria were our choices. None of us were disappointed and service and seating was fast and friendly.

The food was good. Not spectacular. It was very crowded. I would strongly recommend a reservation. The restaurant is cute and quirky. I had vegetable enchiladas. They were good. The sopapillas were cold. They don't have very many vegetarian options.

Enjoyed Santa Fe style food with the locals and visitors. Great margaritas, wonderful enchiladas and sopas.
