Been eating there for 20 years

Started eating at this restaurant when I moved to Santa Fe 20 years ago...still eat there. You won't be disappointed. It is a must add to your list of must try restaurants.

Really good Mexican. Fresh & flavorful. The red chili was as good as it gets anywhere I've been in sometime. Nice level of heat. Had the carne adobada enchiladas. The pork was fork tender with lots smaller sized pieces. Often it seems there is never enough of the sauce, not the case at La Choza. Cute colorful decor, I'd suggest... More

The atmosphere was lively and fun but the food was ghastly. Fresh mushroom soup had so much butter floating on top. Chili sauces were overly spicy. Spanish rice was hard, bland, and disgusting. Asked for them to sautee my son's green peppers (it was a choice on the kid's menu) and they said they could only bring them out raw.... More

Off the beaten path traditional New Mexican cuisine. Super spicy, great service, yum margs. One of the best restaurant guacamoles I've had. And SO reasonably priced.

Another place where you will find a lot of locals eating. Another family owned New Mexico style restaurant....a little hard to find if you are not familiar with Santa Fe...best way is to proceed north on St. Francis Drive, cross Cerrillos Road and BINGO, there it is..first street to your right....

It's sooo busy and hot (indoors) plan on a wait at the bar. Request the outside tent, it's wonderful. The staff was great, the food excellent and fast.

We arrived at 4.50 for the 5.00 open and there were already people waiting to get tables. After eating dinner I know why. This place was great the pollo avodada was amazing. My wife and I were so impressed we ordered bowls to go after our meal because it was so good. The wait staff was quick and very friendly.... More

Don't let others that have an axe to grind put you off of this place! We went to Santa Fe on vacation last year and found out from a local where there was good food for good prices. We checked it out and it was the best place we ate in Sante Fe for considerably less money. We ended up... More

This place is amazing. We get there at 2pm in the afternoon and there is a 20 minute wait for a table. The close at three to prepare for Dinner. The food was outstanding, service was just as good as the food and the best part, all of this for a moderate price. A great restaurant worth visiting again.

Good food and service. We came with hour a reservation at 5pm on a Saturday, and they seated us after 5 minutes. We got green chili, a huge plate of nachos with beef, and a combination enchilada/taquito plate. All was good. Delicious sopaipillas. Service was attentive. They had one person serving the initial drink and our waiter who handled the... More
