We stumbled on Dinner for Two several years ago when it was Restaurant Week in Santa Fe. Ever since, when we want an outstanding dinner, we return here--perfect every time. From the Caesar salad prepared at the table (YOU get to choose the level of garlic, anchovies, etc.) to the Chateaubriand, the meals have been exquisite and perfectly prepared, the... More

We have been coming to Dinner for Two every time we come to Santa Fe from DC. Tonight we hit their Sunday night dinner and once again they have outdone themselves. I had the award winning mushroom soup and my husband had the French onion. We were both in heaven. Then I had the mixed seafood with scrumptious crab cakes,... More

I came here for dinner and am glad to say I was so pleasantly surprised. I love the building itself, very funky and eclectic. It's a narrow restaurant, runs long, and decorated with art I actually enjoyed looking at. The ambiance was comfortable and not stuffy; a guitarist strummed slowly not too far from our table. Upon arrival we were... More

Don't be deceived by the outside of the restaurant. Once we entered, we were greeted by a lovely hostess. We were made to feel very welcome as servers and kitchen staff either nodded to acknowledge our arrival or smiled and said hello. We were seated near a gentleman who placed acoustic guitar the entire evening. We started and ended our... More

We just came home from a delicious and delightful evening at Dinner for Two. This restaurant won the soup contest at an annual Santa Fe event, and their truffle mushroom soup was delicious. That was my entree. The salad for the evening was spinach, arugula, and lots of vegetables, and it was perfect. Our friends had the fried chicken and... More

A friend and I just happened upon DF2 one Sunday evening and were so pleasantly surprised by the quality menu selections, wines, service, and, not to be forgotten, talented guitarist. All of this in a cozy environment. Loved it and keep going back for more. Selfishly, I hope it stays unknown so that there will be room for me and... More

The food was only fair. We both ordered the filet mignon - - both medium. One was overcooked one was undercooked. Not bothering to send it back, we ate the rather bland meat and even blander accompanying brussel sprouts and potatoes. The Cherries jubilee was even blander. I was so disappointed.

This place never disappoints. I've taken quite a few people to this place because frankly, I want to show it off. It is worth it! The menu isn't huge, but everything I have tried is done to perfection by the very talented chef and his staff. This time, we had the bananas foster (worth doing dessert first) and playing with...
