Dinner for Two We have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. We finally got there and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and bright. My wife and I both had the Hawaiian Mahi, Orange sesame Shrimp, and Crab cakes(21) with goma wakame seaweed salad and calamari ceviche. The seaweed salad was delightful and the calamari ceviche was... More

Our second visit was marred by being seated in a "waiter's no man's land". Once we got one (30 minutes) everything went flawlessly. All three meals were excellent. (Yes, they will serve more than twosomes.) Deserts will have you smiling as you waddle home. Note: At our waiter's suggestion, the chef stopped by and disclosed some of his cooking tricks.... More

We were so happy with our decision to make reservations for four at D42. Located a short walk from downtown in an adobe building, this is more bistro than Santa Fe on the inside, and it's wonderful. The service was friendly, down-to-earth, and fantastic. Justin met our every need without being overbearing, and gave fantastic recommendations on wine and food.... More

We had a lovely meal here. The service and the gourmet food was very nice. As you walk into this small restaurant, there were home made pies and chocolate cakes on display. The busy kitchen was well lit, clean, very busy and fun to watch. What we did not enjoy as much was the dark interior as you went to... More

And service was impeccable. Wine sommelier was very knowledgeable. This is a family run operation and they use the freshest local ingredients. When in Santa Fe next we will return.

We certainly enjoyed the company of the chef and hostess at the bar counter. Appetizers were absolutely delicious, especially the bacon gravy mix! We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

We were in Santa Fe for 4 days and this was by far the best restaurant we went to. We had roasted red pepper soup, veal Marsala. They were both delicious. The veal Marsala had a delicate sauce was very tender. The homemade bread is to die for. We ate 3 loaves. The service is impeccable.

My sister and I enjoyed a relaxing diner here although we were seated in a very strange, narrow hallway. Some guests were very dressed up – some not so much like us. Maybe why we were in the hallway? Food was very good, however, and would recommend this restaurant.

In a city blessed with many fine resturants D42 is a step above. The menu varies with wonderful creativity artfully prepared and exceptionally presented. It is a small resturant so be sure to reserve a space. You will not be disappointed .

The tableside Caesar Salad was quite an experience. We were asked for our garlic and anchovy preference from 1-5, so we went for it with a 5. Absolutely fabulous salad. The filet also was exceptional. Space was a little more "intimate" than I am used to -- but hey, it was better than Paris seating! Definitely go here for dinner.
