A favorite for locals tells you a lot. Staff provides warm hospitality, great food and drinks. I'd describe menu as 'extended bar' choices.

We stayed in the hotel where the saloon is located. Always a lot of people, seemed like a lot of locals, having drinks and apps. We ordered here twice: chili fries (really good), the special of the day seafood tacos (also very good) and ceasar salad (standard) and turkey wrap. We didn't get to eat the wrap, so took it... Our group ate a Del Charro many times while we stayed at Inn of the Governors since we had a $15 daily credit for food and drinks. We were surprised by how good the food was for the low prices they charge. From burgers to Mexican specialties, everything we had was excellent. The margaritas were also very good. The staff... This restaurant is a gem near the square in Santa Fe, located in a hotel with dinner specials nightly, cheap large marguerites. I have never had a bad meal, this restaurant is a bargain compared to others in the pricey square area of Santa Fe. Suggest Pasole, chicken cheese enchiladas and the salmon wrap! Seat outside in the heated covered... More

We had their signature hamburger. It was good - priced fairly and the service was terrific! Good to have a break away from the many trendy restaurants there.

On Christmas Day, they seemed clearly short staffed and the service was abysmal. BUT the food was very good. In our party of three, we each liked our meals a great deal. I had the quesadilla with chicken, which had great flavor. My husband had the pork and chile chowder, which was nicely balanced. The Del Charro burger and fries... More

Come here many times with visiting consultants. Recently had the toasted cheese sandwich with the pasole which was fantastic, then another time the Wednesday special adobada also terrific. Reasonable priced lunches.

This is a great spot to hang out for a few hours after wandering around the plaza. Sit near the windows and watch the tourist walk by while sipping on a margarita. Or sit near the fireplace and enjoy some food to soak up your drink.

Very nice place with good items on their menu and very friendly bartenders. We were a group of five and decided to all share appetizers--chicken tenders, posole, chipotle wings, green chile chowder, chile cheese fries, and nachos. Everything was very good. The next time we will try a main entree for lunch or dinner.

We had dinner at Del Charro several times during our Santa Fe stay and came away feeling that this would surely be one of our favorite places for casual dining or drink-and-chat if we lived in the city. In the evening, Del Charro has a cozy-friendly vibe and high energy level. There’s a nice mix of locals and tourists, and... More
