Great local place for drinks and food!

As a rule I tend to not eat in bars or restaurants that are connected to hotels. Del Charro Saloon is connected to the Inn of the Governors and the combination is awesome. Seriously- this restaurant is amazing. The best food I've had in ages... The stuffed pablano- to die.... also the Frito Pie and the wings. Drinks are strong, staff is very friendly. We sat in the bar area for more atmosphere.

We have passed Del Charro many times and it always looked inviting. We didn’t even realize it was attached to Inn of the Governors. We finally ate lunch there and it was good bar-and-grill food with some Mexican choices. The stuffed burger and Santa Fe tostada with salmon were good. There is indoor and outdoor dining and we were on... More

Returned to Del Charro after several years and it's better than ever. The house margaritas @ $6 are a steal, served in metal shaker with plenty to spare. Food is great; Tuesday's special chicken enchiladas were perfect sized serving to allow for dessert (natillas). Service was spot on. We ate in the bar area which is great. Fireplace offers cozy... We are locals, and Del Charro is one of our favorite local watering holes. They have a great bar menu (definitely try the house made potato chips) and the house margarita is great.

If you are looking for a casual atmosphere, great service and delicious food, look no further. In the four days we were in Santa Fe, we ate here twice. Each time we had Natilla - yummy. We also loved the posole and found it to be the best ever.

The service is stellar and the green chile chicken chowder is not to be missed! My husband and I were seated out in the little enclosed patio which was so roamatic with snow outside and the fire place and heaters ! The food was great and the prices were very reasonable!

The restaurant is connected to Inn of the Governors so very convenient to our accommodations. The meals were inexpensive and my black bean burger was very tasty! (So was the Santa Fe Pale Ale!) It is a bar as well so it was loud and crowded vs relaxing but our waiter was very friendly so we enjoyed the experience.

Liked hanging out in the bar eating some appetizers and watching basketball (March Madness), and ate dinner later in the week. It was tasty and wallet friendly.

Met with friends to have a margarita and talk, it was okay but there competition has them beat both with service, atmosphere and drinks. Didn't try the food so can not comment on it. Location is convenient.
