Wonderful ambiance, lovely Santa Fe style

Excellent service, very good food and perhaps the best bar in Santa Fe. Warm and convivial with a great choice of bar food.. If you like salad be sure to try the Chama Chop. A favorite of locals and tourists. Can get very busy when the legislature is in session. In warm weather there are nice... read more

Visited this great restaurant on Monday night on a recommendation of a former local. Incredible food great drinks and very value friendly! We were a party of 8 and walked out with a $200 bill including drinks. I had the Hosin Ribs and onion rings actually appetizers and took 1/2 a rack home which I eat at 2:30 in the... More

They had a very nice bar, and the most amazing red chili prime rib sandwich. The bartender was friendly and helpful making suggestions on things to do during our visit.

My review is limited to the bar food. First, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service is supreme. We ordered the salad and the nachos and they were superb. The bar drinks were strong and well prepared. Highly recommended.

Went to celebrate friends birthday with lunch. Ordered the chipotle bloody mary, which was smoking and sweet and quite good, for prelunch appetizer. Wait staff friendly, and very informed. Even though a steak house, I ordered falafel sandwich, which I was pleased with, and fries, which were nice. Great old adobe building, and if it were summer and no snow,... More

We had a business luncheon and the food and service was exceptional. We started with a salad and were offerred a blue cheese vinaigrette which was surprisingly good. I had the pablano relleno for the main course, which was excellent. Finally, we had the ice cream pot, whiich is like an upside down dipcone. Our group was served quickly and... More

I visited this restaurant with friends for an early dinner. We were seated in a lovely garden courtyard after it was decided that the bar seating was too crowded for our group. I had two sides since I was still full from a big lunch. I loved the grilled asparagus which was done very well and wasn't limp as some... More

My wife and I live in Santa Fe and have eaten at the Rio Chama bar many times over the years. We ate there recently with out of town visitors. We enjoyed the food and the service. Other reviews have commented on poor service experiences and high prices. We too have been ignored be servers a few times. But a... More

Visited with some friends. Our second visit. The avocado and grapefruit salad with avocado, grapefruit segments, marinated olives, beets, goat cheese, watercress, dijon vinaigrette was excellent. My wife and I split a dinner special, consisting of filet and potatoes. The service was fast and attentive, and the food was tasty and well cooked. We'll be back.
