Wonderful ambiance, lovely Santa Fe style

Excellent service, very good food and perhaps the best bar in Santa Fe. Warm and convivial with a great choice of bar food.. If you like salad be sure to try the Chama Chop. A favorite of locals and tourists. Can get very busy when the legislature is in session. In warm weather there are nice... read more

Last night, my wife and I went to Rio Chama for dinner. She had the small filet and I had the prime rib. Both were excellent. Also, we were waited on by a young woman named Sarah who provided impeccable service. This is the place to go in Santa Fe if you want excellent beef and fine service.

Had been going in for the bone in bison ribeye for years. Best steak ever. Tried the the elk this time since they no longer have the bison. The elk was good but no comparison to the bison.

I like Rio Chama for Happy Hour and the chili and burger is very good. Our dinner on Saturday however, fell way short of expectations. The steak I had was way over-salted, and the bearnaise sauce had some kind of extra spice in it that gave it a very odd, lingering flavor. The service was efficient, but our waitress acted... More

This place has a large variety items which is really great. We had no reservations for 5 and walked in and got seated right away. I believe our server was new but he was very good. We did not receive bread or the alexia menu items for the evening but that's ok we still had a great visit. ALL of... More

Visited this great restaurant on Monday night on a recommendation of a former local. Incredible food great drinks and very value friendly! We were a party of 8 and walked out with a $200 bill including drinks. I had the Hosin Ribs and onion rings actually appetizers and took 1/2 a rack home which I eat at 2:30 in the... More

They had a very nice bar, and the most amazing red chili prime rib sandwich. The bartender was friendly and helpful making suggestions on things to do during our visit.

My review is limited to the bar food. First, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service is supreme. We ordered the salad and the nachos and they were superb. The bar drinks were strong and well prepared. Highly recommended.

Went to celebrate friends birthday with lunch. Ordered the chipotle bloody mary, which was smoking and sweet and quite good, for prelunch appetizer. Wait staff friendly, and very informed. Even though a steak house, I ordered falafel sandwich, which I was pleased with, and fries, which were nice. Great old adobe building, and if it were summer and no snow,... More

We had a business luncheon and the food and service was exceptional. We started with a salad and were offerred a blue cheese vinaigrette which was surprisingly good. I had the pablano relleno for the main course, which was excellent. Finally, we had the ice cream pot, whiich is like an upside down dipcone. Our group was served quickly and... More
