Great meal in Santa Fe!

My wife and I were staying at a B&B just up the street and decided to eat here one evening. Although it was rather cool outside we decided to have our meal in the outside courtyard. I had the prime rib and my wife had the vegetarian lasagna. We both liked our choice very much. The queen cut prime... read more

As we were on our first visit to Sante Fe, we were initially a little overwhelmed by the dining choices. The good places needed prior reservations, and are really expensive. We happened on this place on the Old Santa Fe Trail by accident, with our eleven year old feeling very hungry. It was welcoming, the service was good, and although... More

We read some reviews about the quality of steaks at this restaurant and they were not wrong. We both had the filets and they were perfect! We were a little disappointed that we did not get the asparagus with our meals as indicated on the menu....they substituted broccolini instead, which neither of us liked. They did discount our meal for... More

My husband and I had our first meal in Santa Fe at Rio Chama on the recommendation of our B&B owner. We sat in the bar and were impressed with the beautiful open wooden trusses and hand crafted tin lampshades. The soft background music played in the bar helped to create a laid back, relaxed vibe. We had a fabulous... More

Last night, my wife and I went to Rio Chama for dinner. She had the small filet and I had the prime rib. Both were excellent. Also, we were waited on by a young woman named Sarah who provided impeccable service. This is the place to go in Santa Fe if you want excellent beef and fine service.

Had been going in for the bone in bison ribeye for years. Best steak ever. Tried the the elk this time since they no longer have the bison. The elk was good but no comparison to the bison.

I like Rio Chama for Happy Hour and the chili and burger is very good. Our dinner on Saturday however, fell way short of expectations. The steak I had was way over-salted, and the bearnaise sauce had some kind of extra spice in it that gave it a very odd, lingering flavor. The service was efficient, but our waitress acted... More

This place has a large variety items which is really great. We had no reservations for 5 and walked in and got seated right away. I believe our server was new but he was very good. We did not receive bread or the alexia menu items for the evening but that's ok we still had a great visit. ALL of... More

Excellent service, very good food and perhaps the best bar in Santa Fe. Warm and convivial with a great choice of bar food.. If you like salad be sure to try the Chama Chop. A favorite of locals and tourists. Can get very busy when the legislature is in session. In warm weather there are nice patios for outdoor dinning.... More
