This was a welcomed respite after what seemed like hundreds of galleries. Stopped here for a lunch of tapas, atmosphere and people watching and were not disappointed in any of the three. Outdoor seating, great cheese plate and excellent hot tapas made for a great culmination to an already stellar day.

Went for dinner and the flamenco show on Saturday night! Tapas were outstanding and so was the show! As a European I can tell this was very authentic! Must do if you won't cross the Atlantic all the way to Spain. $25 for the show is much cheaper! Show starts @8. Come early for dinner because the public parking lot... More

I'm a native New Mexican with Spanish roots going back to 1598, so Santa Fe is special to me and El Farol is hands down, my very favorite restaurant in this beautiful and totally unique world class small city. There is no other like it anywhere in the entire country. I've been coming to El Farol since the 80's and... More

Located in the heart of the historic downtown art gallery district. This restaurant is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the oldest state capital in the United States. I had no reservation and the found out about the flamenco show right when I showed up. The show was sold out but I asked to be placed on a wait list... More

We ordered tapas, Margaritas, Santa Fe Pale ale, and Sangria. The Gambas (shrimp) cooked in olive oil with lots of garlic reminded us of a vacation to Spain! They definitely hit the mark.

Wonderful lunch this trip. Have had great dinners also. On one trip stayed for the flamenco dancing. Great atmosphere and service. Oldest bar and restaurant in Santa Fe.

We ate outside. No we dined because we were in no hurry and no one was chasing us out. The food pricing is very reasonable. I had fajitas, my sister-in-law had gazpacho and my wife had an assortment of tapas. Drinks are a little pricey but we lingered over them.

We came there for a drink in the afternoon. The service was very bad : the waitress unfriendly, coming every 5 minutes to ask if you want to drink more. We ordered a "tortilla espanola", a quite small dish which arrived after 35 minutes after we complained about the delay. The tortilla was very dry and not good. The worst... More

Three friends and I had a wonderful early evening meal on the front porch of El Farol. My companions shared several tapas plates and declared them delicious. I ordered scallops, which were very fresh and cooked to perfection. El Farol avoided the mistake that many restaurants make in overcooking shellfish. The front porch is a great location for people-watching, and... More
