Lunch

Good tapas and cocktails. We've had better tapas on other cities but this was a nice change from southwest food!! Fried avocado was delicious!

This was our second visit and it was even better than our first. We enjoyed Spanish ham, manchego cheese, pork loin in fig sauce, and excellent cocktails. Service was impressive too!

I've lived in NM for 30 years and never heard of a Tapas. But since El Faro was rated #1 recently for Tapas I had to try it. Santa fe and especially Canyon Road is notorious for limited parking but fortunately there is a private fee lot accord the street from the El Faro. $2 an hour. We ordered the... More

We ate at El Farol on Canyon Road in Santa Fe and glad we did. We ate there for lunch after a long survey of the galleries on this road. We ate outside and normally don't do so and found it to be a pleasant venue. The food was excellent. We ordered several tapas and loved every dish. Great place... More

We ordered tapas and the avocado dish was very delish. Kale salad nice but not memorable. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. We sat outside which was so enjoyable as the weather was balmy in June! My husband ordered a Gin and tonic but even though they replaced it, the tonic never tasted right so maybe skip that. Go... Torrential rain did not deter us from finding El Farol on Canyon Road for some blues. Welcomed in by a most accommodating waitress, we soon had a table filled with tapas, a beer and a view of the band and dance floor. Just what the doctor ordered for a fun, body-swaying time to the blues jam of local artists enjoyed... More

My friends and I were strolling along Canyon Road, looking at the galleries. We were ready for lunch and fortunately picked out this El Farol restaurant because of its pleasant outdoor seating (and good people watching!). We were later told by a local resident that we had picked the best restaurant on this road, and we all agreed. Several of... More

While the location is very nice, the overall dinner experience was not! The tapas portions were very small and expensive along with the alcohol. The waitress was constantly trying to "upsell" more items and pushing the alcohol drinks. When we were served the tapas, they forgot to provide plates and told us she would be back right away. It took... More

There were 19 of us that had a reservation at this restaurant. We were set at four different tables inside the restaurant. They advertise flamingo dancers but the only time I saw them was when they came in an out of their dressing room which kept interrupting the people on the other side of the table from me. The food... Rarely see paella on the menu and when it's there, I have it. It was just what I had hoped for! Excellent meal. Beyond that, it was a pretty crowded and noisy place, although our group created most of the noise. Unusual setup with several smaller rooms rather than one large one. Didn't care for having to walk through the... More
