Great bar/restaurant on the far end of Canyon drive. Parking immediately in front. Generous drinks and very good food for a bar atmosphere. Great lunch spot in accommodating weather. Paella is worth trying. Fun bar in the evening.

Generally we are not in Santa Fe for late night events, or even for mid-week events. However, we ended up in Santa Fe with out of town guests and took them to El Farol especially for their Paella. Earlier last year my wife and I were most disappointed with three different attempts at paella in Barcelona and ended up finding... More

Speaking as a local, El Farol is a must-go! The greatest tapas and absolutely the best bar in town---atmosphere, service, cheer. Great entertainment, too---all sorts from blues to flamenco, but always top drawer. Nice patio, great food.

We've been there a few times and it was nothing worth raving about. Just ok food. Thursday was different though as it was my birthday and they informed us that closing time is at 10pm. Perfect, we made reservations for 9pm as we prefer late dinners. My husband and I arrived at 8:50pm, only to find it closing. Staff was... More

We love this restaurant/bar at the top of Canyon Road and want to make it our favorite in Santa Fe but the food quality has gone down hill in recent years. I recommend a visit due to the romantic atmosphere and historic feel, but be prepared to only have an average meal. We had the shrimp which tasted good but... More

We had tapas for dinner and watched the flamenco show. Both were very good. Flamenco dances could have used a brief intro explaining the theme or style; the dancers were outstanding. After the show we hung out in the bar where a live band was performing. $5 cover if not having dinner.

Located on Canyon Road about 1/3 the way down from the top. There is a large pay for parking lot directly across the street. Prices are $$ and we did lunch at noon on Saturday and seating was readily available . I thought it was going to be a costly fru-fru place and could not have been more wrong. We... More

I really liked it! we went there for a birthday, a group of 10 or so. I just had tapas and red wine all night. Very tasty tapas, the real deal I would say, I tasted several good wines, and probably altogether a dozen tapas over the course of the evening. The atmosphere was fantastic, that night it felt really... More
