Very Good Indian Food

My wife and I tried the India Palace for dinner despite some recent negative reviews. We were pleased with both the quality of the food and the service. Our Indian server was rather shy but nevertheless quite friendly and helpful. He recommended an Indian beer, Kingfisher, that I'd not tried... read more

We ordered lamb biryani, chicken tikka, samosas, meat filled naan, and the fried paneer appetizer. All of these were delicious. Staff was friendly and gracious. The food was even good by the picky standards of my Pakistani friend with me. Wish we could have gone to their lunch buffet and will go back again when in Santa Fe. Reasonable prices... More

It's gotten better with the newer owner. Some what consistent. But the last several times the chai tasted watered down. So I don't go there very much any more. Don't skimp on chai, it's an Indian food staple, a must have when I'm eating at an Indian restaurant.

This ethic restaurant is right off the Plaza which serves a nice lunch and weekend brunch. Specific dishes at dinner are good and authentic but fairly expensive

The food quality and service were good. Also the buffet wasn't spicy which made it tolerable. I would recommend this restaurant.

This is the 2nd time my family and I have eaten here. Last night we took another family with us. It is a family friendly place. The food was prepared with care and was of high quality. The tandoori chicken was seasoned and prepared excellently I had the chicken tandoori, lamb naan bread, and peas pilao. The place is obviously... More

If you are in Santa Fe, then this place is the place to go for a buffet lunch. The chef/owner has won awards for his cuisine. He even had his recipe used for an Uncle Ben's pilaf or Rice-a-Roni offering. The buffet always is freshly prepared and perfectly kept warm. There is never any food swimming in grease or getting... Wife and I had dinner @ India Palace Aug 1, 2014. Prices on menu are not what we were billed. On two separate menu items when it came time to pay, the prices were jacked up higher than that stated on the menu. When we pointed this out to the cashier, he said, "That was the old menu and the... I was in New Mexico trip on 12th of July, 2014. I stopped for dinner and ordered chicken briyani. They served me spoiled food. I complained owner about it, but he tried to avoid complain blaming as chef's fault. No matter whether its chef's fault or management problem, they should not serve customers with spoiled food. I don't suggest anyone... More

basically the place sucks now...more India insults from political to dining fare...India needs to get their act together....a return to their supposed spiritual role modeling is basically a hypocrisy to both their current actions, as well as the crap they are serving in their resturants...
