The rice was tasteless. The tacos were so soggy we could not eat them. The posole was greasy and I bit into a bone. The restaurant was dirty. We were very disappointed, as Maria's is such a popular restaurant in Santa Fe.

We found no fault with Maria's. Reservations were a breeze and there was no waiting upon our arrival for dinner. The place was a buzz with a great mix of locals and travelers like ourselves. The atmosphere wreaks of times past and for my money is part of the appeal. Great location away from downtown Santa Fe and easy to... More

We loved the food at this place everything was tasty and redolent with New Mexican flavors. I had the blue corn tamales with the vegetarian filling and green chile they were great in fact every was busy tasting each others food and one bite was better then the next enchiladas, chile relleno and green chile stew all wonderful. We had heard rave reviews about Maria's. Went on a Saturday night and the place was PACKED. Maybe my expectations were just too high. Margaritas were fine - nothing outstanding (maybe if I'd ordered the $13 silver coin the waiter tried to push?). The food is fine - nothing fancy, typical new mexican fare. It was all just fine. I... Traditional mexican restaurant, ambiance was traditionally good. Food was delicious and for that kind of food prices are quite cheap

We went to Maria's on Sunday evening early and the place was buzzing. We were very pleased that we had booked because there were people queuing for tables. Our waiter said we had arrived before the rush - can't imagine what it's like later in the evening. Even though it was busy we had chips and salsa brought to the... More

While they have an impressive tequila menu, the margarita menu was a hilarious read of the same margarita style with just a swap out of tequila. Not very original unfortunately... the green chile stew, hot red chile salsa, and sopapilla's w/ honey were terrific...but the rest of the food fell flat.

Food was good but the service was a little slow. The margarita was terrible , do not get the frozen ones.

The margarita list is probably the most extensive list you'll find anywhere. Most are around $7.00 - $8.00 and are very good. You get a lot of food, it is very good, with a choice of red or green or both. The average cost of an entree is about $15.00. The servers are friendly and very efficient. You'll like it.
