Very good food watch the weight

This is an excellent place for really good food, mostly cafeteria style, near the Capitol. It has some parking but easy to reach by foot from Plaza. Many people told us about all the excellent restaurants in Santa Fe, and on our first trip to that city (July 2014), we had great expectations. Since we were going to be there for a full week, we knew we'd have many chances to sample restaurants. I checked with TripAdvisor, and at the time of our stay, "Saveur" was in... More

My daughter and I had lunch here after a morning meeting in Santa Fe. It was not our original destination, as we were using Yelp to find a specific cafe/deli in the area and couldn't find it. Santa Fe streets can be confusing, but there was Saveur - and they had parking! First plus. We were both totally confused as... More

I regularly take out-of-town guests here for lunch, and, no matter their level of sophistication, they consistently rave about their food. Don't be deceived by the humble interior. Lots of great choices here - soups, sandwiches, and daily entrees that are wonderful, but the cold buffet is the real standout to me. Stuffed avocado with shrimp salad, beautiful and fresh... More

We walked in this small cafeteria style place recommended by our hotel for lunch and were overwhelmed by the variety of selections. Not for long; as one of the French owners came over and asked if it were our first time there, Since it was, he described all the entrees available that day, as well as how to order sandwiches,... We enjoyed a very nice lunch at Saveur. It is located very near to the Capital Building and thus you can do a quick turn around or just linger and enjoy the experience. The layout is unique with a food bar that is by no means limited to salad with a number of very enticing choices. There are specials as... More

Ordered one of the sandwich specials and wife had the lunchtime buffet. The buffet is almost like a salad bar, but with meat and fish in there too. Sandwich came with a mushroom bisque, which was really good. Sandwich was a cut above the standard fare, but at about $15 it should be. Buffet was pretty good, but expensive too.... More

Confusing. Overpriced. Disappointing. That is how I would describe Saveur. I dined for lunch at Saveur with a friend and I would have to say, I will not be returning. When you walk in you are greeted by a glass serving case, a salad bar, and several blackboards with various food selections. There is no hostess. Unless you know what... More

The food and desserts looked amazing. We had cappuccino and carrot cake and sat outside. It was very enjoyable day. The staff there were friendly and attentive.

Traveling to Santa Fe to go to the opera is an annual event for me, but breakfast at Saveur is an important part of the Santa Fe visit. Starting with a bowl of fresh fruit, finishing with a lovely New Mexican egg dish is a fine way to start your day in SF. The lattes ain't bad either! Saveur is... More
