We went because a picture on trip advisor of the Orange tequila shrimp looked amazing! It was even better in person. We made reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. I like sweet and tangy so the meal was perfect for me, it would have been too sweet for my husband. His enchiladas were perfect though. The staff were all... More

As someone who has to eat both gluten and soy free, it's not easy to find a suitable Mexican restaurant. This one had incredibly good food and a well-informed staff that could make recommendations and alterations. We all enjoyed it, including those who ate off the regular menu. I would eat here frequently if I was local.

My wife and I ate here one night. Excellent Mexican food away from the Plaza. Plenty of parking and located closer to the Canyon road area. I can't remember what my meal was but I know I finished it. But I do remember the dessert. It was a delicious flan. Seemed to be a very popular place with the locals.... More

If you want a good meal away from the crowds in the Plaza but still within walking distance head to Mucho Gusto. If you are tired of walking or the weather is not cooperating you can also drive as they have a nice size parking lot. We had two good meals here on our trip. The food and service were... More

We did a wine tasting in Taos and the woman there recommended Mucho Gusto to us as Sante Fe was our next destination. All four of us were very happy about the food and the service. The owner was on top of everything and it showed.

Four of us in the party all were happy only one impressed. Queso fundido quite good. Cheese enchiladas nice filling but green chili bland and not enough of it. Other dishes were okay. Service was slow but friendly. Difficult to get water refilled, get a check, etc. Ambiance was noisy in a festive way. Night was a bit cool but... More

The dining area is somewhat small, the furnishings and décor nothing special. It was warm - mid-to-upper 70's in the restaurant - when we ate there. The clientele was largely tourists. The food was good but not really special or inspired. The mole poblano with my enchilada was ordinary. My wife had the stuffed chicken breast, "The Bomb," and that... More

Although this is off the beaten path, it was highly recommended by a couple of locals. It was everything they said it was, great food, great service. There specialty dish is a stuffed chicken dish nicknamed "the bomb". Awesome.

A menu that has more than the usual fare, good service, and reasonable prices, Mucho Gusto makes an excellent all-round choice for dinner. I really liked my chicken enchiladas in cream sauce.
