Osteria d'Assisi was opened in 1995, in a renovated home in the historic downtown district of Santa Fe. The restaurant is named after the city of Santa Fe's patron saint, Saint Francis, who was born in the town of Assisi in Italy. Italian h'osteria's are known for their authentic cuisine served in a homelike, warm & friendly atmosphere. The Osteria d'Assisi features regional Italian cuisine, utilizing the time honored Mediterranean approach to preparing food with olive oil and fresh ingredients. Always dependable

Even though Santa Fe has a reputation as a foodie town, there are some really bad restaurants here that survive for a while then go out of business. I've been eating at Osteria d'Assisi through several different chefs for many years. This time they have a cook from Italy (they may have before... read more

I've never seen such bad service, and horrible food. Calamari had a beer batter, soggy and not to my liking. My pasta was salty and uneventful. It took 15 minutes before a server came to us and she didn't even tell us about the specials - we had to ask....for the money they charge, it should have been much better.... More

The menu is outstanding and the dishes are superbly prepared. Wait staff is highly trained. If you would like to enjoy a fine dining experience, they know how to provide it. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service.

Walk a couple blocks off the plaza for a treat solidly patronized by people who obviously know what they're eating! We came for just a snack; very nice margarita pizza (more than we could eat), a delicious Ceasar salad (would have loved a larger portion) and a fine tiramisu. Happy to have found this place; we'll be back.

Impromptu trip to Santa Fe with my wife. Beautiful restaurant near The Plaza. Everything was exceptional from the time the Hostess greeted us to the time our server said good night. The food was amazing. The wine selection very good. Jade, our server was very attentive. Lino has an amazing food experience in SF. Thanks, we will be back.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner on the outdoor patio with my husband. Great salads and entrees with great service. My halibut was cooked perfectly. We will come back again.

Chef and owner are from northern Italy. Creative menu with well-prepared food. My sea bass (the real kind, not Chilean) with an interesting salsa was wonderful. A nice Italian white wine (Orvieto), the ambiance, and excellent service lent themselves to a memorable meal.

The food was delicious and well priced, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, we had a wonderful time here! The Veal Ravioli and Spaghetti Carbonara were to die for! Loved everything about our meal. The bus boy even told us where to find a place to go find music after dinner. :) Would definitely go back!!

We have made multiple trips to Italy and this old school Santa Fe restaurant reminded us of those trips. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. Our waiter Pietro, as well as the owner and chef, were native Italians. The food was authentic and prepared perfectly. There was nothing rushed and in true Italians fashion,... More
