Osteria d'Assisi was opened in 1995, in a renovated home in the historic downtown district of Santa Fe. The restaurant is named after the city of Santa Fe's patron saint, Saint Francis, who was born in the town of Assisi in Italy. Italian h'osteria's are known for their authentic cuisine served in a homelike, warm & friendly atmosphere. The Osteria d'Assisi features regional Italian cuisine, utilizing the time honored Mediterranean approach to preparing food with olive oil and fresh ingredients. Our menu includes fresh seafood, locally grazed beef, veal and lamb, house made pasta, fresh bread baked daily, gourmet pizza and creative desserts.

Lovely restaurant

Whenever we are in Santa Fe we eat here. It offers tables outside but this time we dined indoors. I had the carbonara which was marginally okay. My husband had lasagna and another had a pasta dish he really liked. Service was good but my disappointment was that they did not have the ravioli... read more

This place is my favorite for Italian. I usually keep it simple with lasagna, which has always been better than at any place at home. And I like that it's easy to get to and easy to park, yet only a few blocks from the plaza.

The Osteria was a nice experience with an interesting vibe of tourists and regulars. The food was very good but it was somewhat spotty as to service. While I will give them the benefit of the doubt because they were very busy I can say a simple pizza order (from menu not created) should have been correct. It was not... More

We had been traveling in New Mexico for a couple of weeks and we were getting pretty tired of eating Mexican food. So Italian was a welcomed change and Osteria d’Assisi was an excellent choice. The restaurant is located just outside the busiest part of downtown Santa Fe, yet is a just a very few blocks from almost anywhere. If... More

We shared a salad and it was good. I had Pasta Pescatote. It had a variety of fish in it. The sauce was very average. My wife had a veal dish (very expensive). Sorry but I am an east coast Italian and this restaurant did not measure up to most back home.

We dined here with friends on a Saturday evening. This was recommended to us from our friends. The restaurant exterior is very inviting and charming. The restaurant is not small but is cozy. It has white table clothes and is a nice dining experience. The wine and food were delicious. I ordered the gnocchi and it was one of the... More

We came here for lunch. Walking in, it is wonderfully decorated and has a great little outdoor seating area. The lunch menu was small but seemed reasonably priced. However, I was a little bot disappointed with the portion size of the lunch pasta. It did taste wonderful though!

We came here one night for a drink and decided to come back a couple of nights later for dinner and I am so glad we did. We got a table outside with great weather, great bottle of wine and had some wonderful food. We had an artichoke appetizer which was great, then Caesar salads which were really good. Then... More

This is just what we needed. Beautiful view overlooking the park. Very romantic setting. We sat outside covered by the big umbrellas with a soft breeze. We had oysters and the burrata with tomatoes. The tomatoes were so fresh! We decided to split the spaghetti cabanara and the dessert. We would have rated this 5 stars without the dessert. Service... More

Enjoyed a window seat in the dining room with the fireplace on a rainy night after drinks in the bar. The service was excellent and friendly staff. Our meals were very good. Would go back again. I think there is outside seating and parking was not a problem.
