Description: Osteria d'Assisi was opened in 1995, in a renovated home in the historic downtown district of Santa Fe. The restaurant is named after the city of Santa Fe's patron saint, Saint Francis, who was born in the town of Assisi in Italy. Italian h'osteria's are known for their authentic cuisine served in a homelike, warm & friendly atmosphere. The Osteria d'Assisi features regional Italian cuisine, utilizing the time honored Mediterranean approach to preparing food with olive oil and fresh ingredients. Our menu includes fresh seafood, locally grazed beef, veal and lamb, house made pasta, fresh bread baked daily, gourmet pizza and creative desserts.

This evening we celebrated my husband's birthday at Osteria D'Assisi. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Santa Fe. The menu is diverse and the service was excellent. I had the spinach pasta with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. It was delicious--rich, but ohmygoodness. My husband had the lamb, a friend had the seafood pasta, and her husband had... More

We went here for Thanksgiving dinner because it was one of the more reasonably priced prix fixe menus for Thanksgiving dinner. The positives: they had a nice selection of entrees from which to choose. All of our entrees were very good. Our son ordered ravioli stuffed with heirloom tomatoes and burrata in a pesto cream sauce. He said it was... More

Located just off the Plaza. My wife had the butternut squash ravioli and I had their answer to linguini with clam sauce, where the pasta had a small amount of chili baked in, with clams and shrimp in a white wine garlic sauce. We split the "Romanoff" dessert. I generally do not like Italian food, but this was probably the... More

Great menu. Food was wonderful. Service was great. Pizza was done perfectly with a crisp thin crust. Lunch menu has a nice special Chianti to complement your meal.

I have always had a lovely dining experience @ Osteria D' Assisi...so yesterday was wanting to get another great meal so I took my friend, Regan to try Osteria for lunch. I was going to have my favorite Ravioli w/ pumpkin (so November) but saw the calimari salad on the menu. OMG... the chef also gave me an aoli sauce... More

My wife and I and another couple were in Santa Fe for a week, I will add that we ate out every meal and of all of the restaurants that we dined at this was the very, very, best of all. The so many flavors that we had never tasted before were superb. If you have not been, you need... More

If you are going to say the Caesar Salad is a specialty, you should dry the lettuce off so the dressing isn't water. I do appreciate it that they did wash it. The calamari seemed heavily breaded and the sauce didn't have much flavor. The entrees were equally unexciting. I wasn't hungry when I left but I wouldn't go back... More

The service and food is excellent here, if a bit pricey. Our pasta was perfectly done. The Osteria is on a par or better than the other good Italian spots in Santa Fe, such as Il Piatto.

We are a group of friends from Tucson. We've been in Santa Fe for a week and had great food, mostly New Mexican. After 6 nights of eating the local New Mexican ((which was great) we needed a change for our last night here. Decided Italian sounded good and picked this restaurant because it was close to where we are... More

We had our fill of chili after 5 days in New Mexico and booked a table at this Italian eatery for 7:30. We arrived on time but there were no tables available so we were ushered into the "bar" where we sat for about 15 minutes. I noticed an empty table near the door and commented that was probably going... More
