We went late after a concert at the Opera and the food was perfectly cooked and the service wonderful. Osteria has been there a while and is tried and true and in a lovely old building. We'll return!

We went here on a Saturday night with friends. The ONLY bright spot was the waitress - Brittnany. We arrived about 10 minutes in advance of our reservation. There were several people crammed into what was supposed to pass as the reception area. After 30 minutes, the hostess finally adknowledged our existance, and a few minutes later we were seated.... For some 12 years we have been going to Osteria. Unfortunately, our visit last week was not pleasant. For example, the wine they presented to us was Not what we selected. Furthermore, the waiter did not tell us; in fact, I noticed the difference in looking at the bottle. The Calamari which previously was a highlight was way over breaded... More

We met some friends here for dinner. I had made the reservation in person, earlier in the day. I met Christian, the executive chef, a native of northern Italy. I knew the food would be authentic, and it was an absolute joy. We were presented with a basket of warm, crusty bread and a bottle of olive oil. Excellent! Some... More

The pasta special said it had olives and chantarelles. Turned out olives were black, from a can, and "chantarelles" were button mushroom from a can too. Obviously the chef is underestimating his clientele. Too bad because service was great, wine good, nice and convenient setting.

I really enjoyed the chatter in Italian between our Host and my Professor Buddy from Rome. The Host had hand picked Porcini Mushrooms in the woods that morning and he prepared us special pasta and veal dishes using them. I guess it is needless to say that he had the perfect wines to go with them!

Met just about all expectations when searching out real Italian cuisine and offerings. Surely will return. A bit on the expensive side and the menu entrees are a bit limited -- but their house-made limoncello was great, the desserts, fantastic, and the appetizers were wonderful. It is also super to have parking when that can be a challenge during the... More

The service was 110 percent. Our waiter and her staff were on queue and scored a goal on every approach. The patio is a great spot in great weather. We had the stuffed squash blossoms and they melted in your mouth. We also savored the flavor of the classic Cesar salad. The Osso Buco measured up to the claim to... More

Get tired of southwest and Mexican food after a week or more of it. Location is better for locals than for tourists. Locals at S F are good about giving celebrities privacy, and I've heard some go here for that reason. Only place at S F I get oysters on the half shell plus Italian favorites.

Quaint old house near the Santa Fe Conference Center serving rich Italian appetizers, entrees and desserts. Parking is ample and easy in a city that is parking challenged. Outdoor and indoor dining. Service is quick, polite and friendly. Wait staff old and young are excellent and make the evening special.
