This is a super place to sit on the patio and have a great hot turkey sandwich (with yummy sweet potato fries!) and people watch close to downtown. Hubby had the green chile pie and pronounced it fantastic.Friendly service and cool bar area remniscent of the 50's with a soda fountain and everything. Price is a great value! more

The Zia Diner in Santa Fe has to be one the best resturant in all of Northern New Mexico! We frequently eat there, and every time, everything is exceptional!!! The food is very unique, and the service is always exceptional. Food Network's 'Diner, Drive in's, and Dives' fetured them in one of their shows, and they did for very good... more

We made a special trip to Santa Fe when visiting Albuquerque just to eat here - we saw it featured on the tv show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and my husband couldn't wait to get there. It is really more of a local cafe/bistro than a diner - pleasant interior with a wonderful shaded patio. The food was excellent and... more

I'm a Santa Fe resident and had a bad meal/service at Zia about 7 years ago. Just tried again today after seeing the Diner's Drivins and Dives episode - that really raved about this place. What a dissapointment! Poor food, no atmosphere and no service - and to mention the 18% surcharge for our party of only 6. We had... more

This is definitely an Anglo restaurant with old Santa Fe roots and eclectic cuisine. The food is excellent with some New Mexican items and some Anglo (or traditional American) comfort food like meatloaf. Everything is good and the service is excellent. Unlike some Anglo Santa Fe places it is a mix of ages with a with-it contemporary atmosphere. It is... more

Being from the east coast we wouldn't classify this restaurant as a diner. It was quite lovely and the food was hardly "greasy spoon" quality like some diners I have visited. The menu was quite varied and prices were very reasonable. Service was excellent and they do serve alcohol. A great choice and I would certainly eat here again. more

Recently ate here with some friends for lunch. Food was average, only noticed two Mexican/New Mexican entrees on the menu. I ordered the veggie burrito, very blah, not impressed and to top it off the waiter said " Other places have much better burritos than here" Huh? Thanks for telling me after I ordered it! more

This was quite a find. From the outside it seems tiny but when you enter there is a large dining area and a patio area as well. Although this is a diner the menu is quite extensive and promotes traditional South western cuisine with plenty of New Mexican dishes and Beers. Good service too more

I happened to be downtown with my husband around lunchtime and since Tomasita's had a 45 minute wait time, we ended up at Zia Diner. Years ago you would have the same wait time at the Zia, but when we entered, we were seated immediately as the place was nearly empty. The hostess and waitress/waiters were almost over-zealous in their... more

The only reason why my husband and I went to Zia tonight was because their old menu is still plastered on their website. It had lots of pasta options, their own veggie burger, and other veggie options to tempt the appetite. What a huge disappointment to learn after we were seated and questioned the menu that Zia had dropped most... more
