Can't say enough how much I loved the "no fragrances" and "no cell phones" policy - although I didn't see them enforced (or need to be), I can appreciate the cultivation of a kind of atmosphere that those things tend to disturb. We waited about 10-15 minutes for a table as we'd been remiss in making a reservation, but this... more

Shohko is, without a doubt, the best sushi in Santa Fe. We eat here about once a month. Spider rolls are cheap and filling. The hotate is always fresh and delicious. The Bluefin otoro (high toro) is amazingly good. The Yellowtail Toro is excellent. I love the tempura as well. If you want to go all out and get the... more

As you see the building on the outside, it looks somewhat vanilla. Parking at Shohko is a little tricky if you come from Texas (the land-o-plenty-parking), but there is reserved parking in the rear. Just don't plan on parking your Ford F350, dually or other wide chassis or extra-long vehicle there, because you most likely won't make it through the... more

We had dinner at Shohko today and we were very happy with the food, the presentation, the people working there and the prices. We really enjoyed the Santa Fe Roll the most but all the items we ordered including the Brancott Sauvignon Blanc were deliscious. more

We visited the first week in May, 2009 during the week. The place had most every table in the main area filled. We enjoy sushi when at home . I was not disappointed in the food, service was a little slow but they were busy and we were not in a hurry being on vacation. Great atmosphere inside, You park... more

Have been hearing about this place for years and decided to give it a try for my birthday with one friend, my spouse, a visiting brother and my niece. Five of us total, all enjoying sushi for many years, living in other places with great sushi to gauge things by. We went on a weeknight, not that busy, made advance... more

I first came to Santa Fe in October of 2008. I had met my future wife on-line, and we agreed to meet for the first time in the romantic atmosphere of the Shohko Cafe. We both had called the restaurant beforehand to make sure the arrangements were most satisfactory. They were. The management of this restaurant is excellent and quite... more

The food and service were superb. I thought it was overpriced. I've been in sushi bars in most major cities and always order similar items. The pricing here was double for the same food and quality as other excellent restaurants. I still highly recommend this place more

My husband and I dined at Shohko Cafe on each of our last two trips to Santa Fe. The food is fresh, delicious, beautiful. Wait staff are sometimes stretched a bit thin resulting in slow service. However, we remind ourselves that we're on vacation and a few minutes of inconvenience are worth the quaility of the experience. more
