Description: The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am during the week which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, frittatas and huevos rancheros.

After a long day at work, or a long week, at that. Getting that surprise text message asking to go out on a date is refreshing, but comes along with the stress of, "Where do we go? What should we do?" Following a friend's recommendation, me date and I went to Santa Fe Capitol grill, followed by a movie, which... More

I was told that The Santa Fe Bite served one of the best hamburgers in the United States. Well, it was good but not that good. For one thing, The Santa Fe Bite isn't a "proper" hamburger joint. One hundred dollar bottles of wine and classical music don't really go with hamburgers. The ground beef patty, while cooked to order... More

We went there for only one reason- to see if the Old Bobcat Bite still lived on in new location. Burgers are all we ordered. The menu is much, much bigger than old Bobcat Bite. We figured it is because it has to serve the Hotel it is in now. Back to burgers... NOT like Bobcat Bite. Still very good,... More

It was so big my husband and I were both full after splitting one. The first time we had had a 10oz burger.

We loved the old Bobcat Bite and the whole family was pleased to find out that the new space has the same great taste. They still have the best green chili cheeseburgers anywhere.

Although Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico has no lack of fine restaurants and alluring art galleries, the place I gravitate to for a scrumptious green chile cheeseburger (Yes, out of state tourists, that's chile, not chili, as in chili con carne) is the "Santa Fe Bite", formerly known as "Bobcat Bite", that was located a few miles east... Just off the plaza, close to the Loretto Chapel is a great place for a great burger! My wife and I would always make a point to stop at Bobcat Bite when traveling to Santa Fe to experience and wonderful local treat, a green chili cheeseburger.Last year they moved to the center of town and reopened as Santa Fe Bite.... Yes they did move! And though it may look like trouble navigating your way to the new location at a hotel, it is a piece of cake to get there. The map on Tripadvisor is not correct! This is the corrected one for you: 311 Old Santa Fe Trail Santa Fe, NM 87501 and the map for you to get... More

Bobcat Bite is no more. But the cheeseburgers live on with the family that created them. I was happy to see the new place busy with a lunch crowd on a Wednesday. Our table had 3 green chili cheeseburgers. All 3 of use were pleased. Great flavor, not hot but a nice little kick. New location has plenty of room... More

The people were nice. The burger was outrageously big! Cooked to specifications. However the condiments didn't match the size the burger, the sweet potato fries and home fries were cold and the beef had little flavor.
