The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am during the week which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, frittatas and huevos rancheros.

Amazing Green Chile Cheeseburger

I'd been told that this was one of the places in Santa Fe you kind of needed to try, and while it wasn't mentioned as often as some other places, I am a sucker for a good Green Chile Chile Cheeseburger and a beer, and The Santa Fe Bite did not disappoint in either category. We even enjoyed all... read more

Not the "best green chile cheeseburger" in Santa Fe buy a long shot! (Just a very run of the mill one). Very limited menu. Hard to see why people like this place?

We agree with most of the reviews that this place has a really good green chili cheese burger. It seems to be a combination of the excellent beef blend, the bun, and of course, the cheese and green chilis. I was also a HUGE fan of the house made potato chips, and would pick them over french fries any day... More

You came to this review because of the green chile burger. Let's not beat around the bush. It is as good as everyone says it is and you owe it to yourself to go. A Santa Fe staple.

My wife and I went to the Santa Fe bite and ordered the 16oz burger to split between us. This particular burger selectionl came with a salad, your choice of fries and a toasted bread. Their burgers come with lettus and a tomatoes, if you want onions, cheese etc there is an extra cost. Ordering the 16 oz burger and... More

I can't explain why, but the green chili cheeseburger is one of the best burgers I've ever had! My husband and I shared it because it's 10 ounces of meat, and we kept trying to pinpoint what made it so unique - the bun? The chilis? The cheese? The way the meat was seasoned? We finally decided it wasn't just... More

I have been here twice and each time I fall for the Green Chile Cheeseburger. It's got to be one of the best. Awesome sized and high quality beef patty, tasty green chile. The other menu items looked just as good. Try it and you'll like it!!

This 10oz burger lived up to all of the hype. Juicy burger, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of zip. Highly recommend eating here.

After reading so many great reviews about Santa Fe Bite we thought it time to pay a visit. Crowded by not packed around lunch time midweek with about a 5 minute wait for a table for two Immediately asked about drinks and apps Server immediately took our order and brought us two of the best burgers we've eaten in a...
