Description: The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am during the week which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, frittatas and huevos rancheros.

I have eaten at the Santa Fe Bite several times in the last few weeks. I can't resist getting the same delicious thing every time though. Gotta get the green chile cheeseburger. They are so good you don't need to add any ketchup or other condiments. The beef flavor is amazing, and you will not leave hungry. I do sometimes... More

The Santa Fe Bite has been one of Santa Fe's best kept secrets for years. Once located 10 miles outside of town off the beaten path, it's now located one block off of the Santa Fe square operating in Garrett's Desert Inn Hotel as the Santa Fe Bite...now very easy to find. The Santa Fe Bite's menu offers a varity... More

Santa Fe bite is a must stop with us when in Santa Fe, This time we enjoyed the Breakfast menu - fresh made daily buttery biscuits covered with green chile sausage gravy. Wonderful. I had the breakfast tacos. Always priced reasonably and free parking in the motel parking lot for diners.

This restaurant near the Plaza has excellent food. It is also very reasonably priced. Get there early on Friday and Saturday night (before 6 pm) because it does get crowded and you will have to wait for a table.

Santa Fe Bite has the same luscious food that it did at "that other place". Best hamburgers around. When it first opened at this new location, it was very noisy. Since then, they have added material-covered sound absorbers to the ceiling & conversation is easy. ~ But of course the reason for going is its delicious food. Very good sweet... More

I'm not a chile cheeseburger expert, but these were terrific, thick, tasty burgers, and the milk shakes were thick and tasty.

Although Santa Fe Bite, as a simple cafe restaurant, is not in the same culinary league as the noted stars of Santa Fe like Geronimo and Santa Cafe, this place is truly a remarkable value for wonderfully prepared Santa Fe favorites. The green chili cheeseburger is without question the best chile cheeseburger you'll find in town at any price. The... More

We stopped here for dinner. We were seated quickly. Place was clean and well managed. We ordered the Green Chili Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and a malt. Everything was really good. Burger was cooked exactly as we requested and was juicy. Portions are huge! Would return.

Had lunch at Santa Fe Bite and tried their famous Green Chile Burger. It was delicious, spicy but not overly hot. The thick piece of meat was cooked perfectly.

It's just one of the best burgers there is! Holeman &Finch in Atlanta is supposed to have the honor of best burger but Santa Fe Bite leaves it in the dust. We asked why the meat was so tasty and they told us they grind it daily from a local grass fed ranch. When you order medium rare, IT IS... More
