The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am during the week which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, frittatas and huevos rancheros.

Food was fine, Parking easy in an area that has limited parking opportunities

First, Park in the hotel parking lot. Then enter Restaurant thru the hotel or the door off the street. Atmosphere was casual, food was nicely presented. Servers were nice but not overly attentive. If you looking for an easy spot to eat near old town with parking this is it.

All the way from Phoenix we heard about how great the burgers were supposed to be here and we were obviously mislead as our burgers were both dry with no flavor.

The meat wasn't juicy at all and had a very dry texture to it, almost as if it was chalky and grainy. When I voiced my displeasure management acted as if they didn't care. Must be arrogance because of their popularity.

I love green chili burgers and this is the place for a perfect green chili bacon cheeseburger so plump and moist the juices soaking into the bun. I try to go when the restaurant isn't crowded so no one can hear the primal moans of joy that escape me when I am indulging in the passion that is a Santa... More

On a recent trip to Santa Fe, we stayed at Garrett's Desert Inn, which is kind of attached to Santa Fe Bite, and had an excellent breakfast while there, (hotel patrons get a 20% discount at breakfast upon presentation of hotel key). They have a lovely patio, the staff were very pleasant, and our breakfast was very enjoyable. My husband... More

The green chili cheese burger at Santa fe Bite is always a must when visiting Santa fe. We first ate the burger at the original Bobcat Bite. We were heartbroken when we learned that the original had closed but after trying the new location we are happy. The food is still great and the location is much easier to reach... More

The burger was awesome - cooked perfectly. A little pricey for a burger, but worth the money. We were able to get in and out quickly as well.

For starters the patty is too thick and is not nearly as juicy as it should be. I expected much more from this place.

My wife and I have eaten here many times, and many different days. We have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. The food is always better than expected. The steaks are surprisingly good,

happen to be here on the day they were deciding to make this place the best burger in America. This and 3 other places are up for the best burger in America. I tried one and it was really good. However I don't think it is the best burger I have ever had.
