Description: The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am during the week which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, frittatas and huevos rancheros.

Santa Fe Bite, formerly called Bobcat Bite, has a new downtown location inside Garrett's Desert Inn. The hamburgers are the best on the planet. They weigh in at a hefty 10 oz. so consider sharing one to leave room for an ice cream sundae dessert. They have a new expanded menu and now serve breakfast on the weekends. The atmosphere... More

I did not care for this restaurant. It took forever to get our food even though the restaurant was not full. My friends ordered hamburgers and the bread was stale. I had the Texas chili and it was way too spicy for me. I don't think I will go back.

Every visit to Santa Fe includes at least one stop for their Green Chile Cheeseburgers. Legendary and for a good reason. Cooked perfectly every time and our party orders rare to well done. Chips that come with it are plentiful and fantastic. We have tried other menu items as well, all great but the Cheeseburgers top them all. Staff is... More

So Bobcat Bite hit the dust, but the legend lives on at Santa Fe Bite. Bonny and John still in charge, the burgers are still mouthwateringly the best...and now with a larger kitchen, the menu has expanded. For those of us who longed for a dessert after having savored a green chili cheeseburger with home fries, we no longer have... More

This has become a go to place for me, and friends I've been sharing Sunday breakfast with for 20+ years. Bonnie and her staff are incredible and always make us feel at home. Add to that, they have gluten free toast and that makes me a happy camper - - since that's pretty hard to come by in Santa Fe.... More

The place was crowded and the food came out quickly anyway. The burgers came as ordered and were wonderful. Service is quick and friendly. The price seems high to me at $12 for the bacon green chili cheeseburger. Don't freak out about trying to find parking. Parking is free at the motel if you are eating here.

We found Santa Fe Bite in an article in the New York Times listing the top ten burgers in America. THEY WERE RIGHT! We sat outside on a beautiful evening and had a fabulous meal. Great milkshakes too

Burgers, burgers, and burgers! Yummy, great food and great service. I had a bacon cheese burger with green chile and potato chips. The others had cheese burgers and sweet potato fries. Let's not forget the beer on tap. My burger was medium well just the way I like it and price was right too. I will definitely come back for... More

Three of us ate breakfast at the Lodges Restuarant. Devon was our waiter both meals. The food was pretty good. Ordered from a limited menu. The poor water (Devon) was nearly overwhelmed. He had no sense of organization - no silverware, no coffee until after food served. Food came, but we had no silverware.

23 years ago I went to the Bobcat Bite it was so quaint and homey and the burgers amazing!! Alas it's gone now but I was told that they had opened in town in a much bigger place I was skeptical at best. We went there and although the decor isn't near as charming (they could use a stuffed bobcat... More
