Description: Tomasita's restaurant is a Santa Fe tradition serving classic Northern New Mexican cuisine. Stop by today for an unforgettable meal! Locally owned and operated in Santa Fe, NM, we take great pride in our high quality food, friendly and fast service, and of course our famous margaritas! Locals have consistently voted us as the premier restaurant for Best Red Chile, Best Green Chile, Best Margaritas, and Best New Mexican Restaurant! Our chiles are out of this world and you won't regret ordering either - or both! Tomasita's is a distinctly Northern New Mexican restaurant. Our recipes have been handed down for generation and serve as a reminder of the melding of cultures that together once depended on the corn, chile, beans, and fruit of the area. Since 1974, the Maryol/Gundrey family has maintained a commitment to the recipes and ingredients of New Mexico. Join us for lunch, dinner, or happy hour and try our traditional recipes with amazing flavor. Don't forget to top off your meal with a homemade dessert - sopapillas anyone

Food is good, though posole was plated with too much liquid which ran into the enchiladas. House margarita was good. It's still a place we visit on a regular basis. Prices are moderate by Santa Fe standards.

15 minute wait for menus, even after letting wait staff know rushing by. 10 minute wait for drinks, maybe they had to brew the tea? No reason given by waitress. Tried to wave down employee in tie but he disappeared behind the wall. Food came in five minutes. Heat lamps? Microwaves? We didn't get our free drink refills. Waitress never... More

Although you enjoyed our food, we're very disappointed to hear that you had this negative experience during your last visit. Great service is a top priority for us, and we're sorry that you didn't receive this impression. You can be sure that we'll follow up with the team to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. We were referred to Tomasita's by a couple we met at another restaurant in Albuquerque, raving about the Swirl Margaritas and food. Upon arrival, the small bar was full, 3 people sitting doiing their crossword puzzles and the only empty stool was being held by one guest's leftover lunch. When asked if the stool was taken since it was very... More

We really wish we had blown you away more with our food during your last visit. We're very well known for our Swirl Margaritas and Northern New Mexican cuisine, and it's extremely disappointing that you didn't get to experience this. We truly would have been happy to remake your order for you if it wasn't quite what you wanted. We... More

I dream about Tomasita's... This restaurant is in my top ten in the world. Not for the plating or pizazz. Just for the sheer amount of love and authenticity put into every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The chicken and hominy soup with sopapillas will warm anyone up on the coldest mountain day. Then I just add honey... More

On Nov. 12, 2014, we visited Tomasita's for the second time in one year with a group of 30 from Switzerland. This restaurant is very popular among locals and visitors alike. It is always very busy. Yet, once more, Manager Karen bridged our 20-minute wait with complimentary refreshing Margaritas. The food was again very tasty and served in an efficient... More

Tomasita's has a great location right by the Roadrunner tracks and station. While that was cool, this place was perfect to park and eat at. While I ordered a "light" item on the menu, I still was full afterwards. I definitely had some of the green chile as I was drinking lots of water, so definitely this was New Mexican... More

Yogi Berra is alleged to have said of a favorite restaurant, "No one goes there anymore its too crowded." Tomasita's comes close to that description at high tide of the tourist season. The setting is great in an old train station but the noise level can be high because of the crowd. The food and drinks are classic with some of... More

We had a great dinner at Tomasita's. It's in a cool part of town near the train station and is a no fuss, no drama delicious meal. It was priced fairly, and service was great. Recommended!

Totally authentic. I always know the food will be good when the place is packed and a 15-20 minute wait. Super quick service once seated. The red chili sauce here is the absolute best! One of the best New Mexican dinners I’ve had. Atmosphere is so-so, but we didn’t go here for that. It was just fine regardless. Even the... More

Our swirl margaritas were very good and the sopapillas were too. My companion had never experienced the yummy honey combination on the Mexican dessert. On a Saturday afternoon the restaurant was full! We sat at the bar and shared good chips and guacamole and spicy tamales. Bar service was friendly and quick.

If you have any feedback for how we would give you a five-star experience in the future, please feel free to let us know -- we'd love to hear it! Cheers, Tomasita's Restaurant More
