Tomasita's restaurant is a Santa Fe tradition serving classic Northern New Mexican cuisine. Stop by today for an unforgettable meal! Locally owned and operated in Santa Fe, NM, we take great pride in our high quality food, friendly and fast service, and of course our famous margaritas! Locals have consistently voted us as the premier restaurant for Best Red Chile, Best Green Chile, Best Margaritas, and Best New Mexican Restaurant! Our chiles are out of this world and you won't regret ordering either - or both! Tomasita's is a distinctly Northern New Mexican restaurant. Our recipes have been handed down for generation and serve as a reminder of the melding of cultures that together once depended on the corn, chile, beans, and fruit of the area. Since 1974, the Maryol/Gundrey family has maintained a commitment to the recipes and ingredients of New Mexico. Join us for lunch, dinner, or happy hour and try our traditional recipes with amazing flavor. Don't forget to top off your meal with a homemade dessert - sopapillas anyone

Long Time Local Patron

My wife and I, who are locals, have been going to Tomasita's for over 30+ years and we continue to be fans. We would encourage any couple to sit, eat, and have a few drinks at the bar because of the bartenders (get to know them because they are wonderful people) and the others that sit there who... read more

Great red chili sauce. We had trouble finding parking and it was very busy, but things moved fast. This is a santa fe institution.

Even though signs warn about the heat of the chile, tell first-timers to order it on the side, period. And if you are taking out of state visitors, make sure they understand that New Mexican food is not the same as Mexican; enchiladas are stacked, not rolled and smothered means smothered, not drizzled. Those are not criticisms of the restaurant,... More

We try to visit Tomasita's every time we are in Santa Fe. The food is always excellent and the service is great! They are always busy but they seem to get people seated in a fairly short time and once at your table the service is wonderful. We love it!

We just happened to be at the right place at the right time. We stumbled upon this gem! Amazingly delicious! Large servings, friendly staff, kid accommodating, all around super experience. I had the vegetarian tamales plate--couldn't have been better. Also, loved the bread and honey butter. I had a hankering for chips and salsa. But we were served fresh vegetables... More

Enjoyed Southwest dinner in this former train station. Great setting. Food was hot and plentiful. Service was excellent.

You might even call it a pilgrimage, but I make sure I stop here for a big bowl of Pasole with Green Chili everytime I go through Santa Fe. I think it is the best Pasole, ever. If you are road weary, this will fix you up. pronto. This place is always crowded, so be patient. When you are finally... More

This restaurant is truly vintage and a local favorite. We see why! Every entree was exceptional...portions generous and flavorful and the wait staff was charming and helpful. The place was impeccably clean. The soppapillas were out of this world fantastic!

I've been visiting Santa Fe often for years. This trip I took my son and his wife and my granddaughter. We went to Tomasita's for lunch last Friday. I got my favorite, the Mexican steak combo. They got chicken tacos. It was a hit!

We arrived late in evening in Santa Fe and were desperate to get some food. Our smartphones listed some nearby restaurants and Tomasita's was closest. Although we initially thought we'd stopped at a tourist attraction in the railway depot, we were surprised at how good the food was. The food was great. It was a bit loud and had lots... More
