I have eaten here many times over the years and it is usually something that I look forward to. This last time though I got take out for a luncheon. I got red chile cheese enchiladas and was expecting the usual flavors. The red chile is different, it was thicker and was not the same chile that normally gets served,... More

When we began planning our 40th anniversary vacation, a stop in Santa Fe to eat at Tomasita's was at the top of the list. We arrived during the dinner rush, asked about seating in the bar, and were seated immediately. We were offered a sample of the salsa before ordering chips and salsa, and should have tried it. While the... More

Warning, the food is hot! I normally like hot and spicy, but I could barely eat the big bowl. I suggest when visiting to request mild, because there isn't any where on menu to let the consumer know how spicy hot the food is. The sopapillas make up for the main course. They are fluffy with delicious cinnamon butter and top... More

Decided to try Tomasita's for lunch after seeing good reviews and driving by it several times. The restaurant has lots of seating both inside and out. Old brick and beams inside, so maybe it was the train station at one time? We sat inside and had a fabulous and very attentive waitress, although all the staff were really sweet. The... More

Best New Mexican cuisine in Santa Fe. Healthy portions, reasonable prices. And yes, the sopapillas are fantastic, and the margueritas pack a punch (one was enough for us!) Fast and attentive service when we were there for dinner.

My daughter and I really enjoyed Tomasita's. The food was great, very well priced and a nice non tourist-y feel. It is only a short drive away from The Plaza area. It is very popular but we only had a short 15 min wait. The portions were so large...we shared a large entree and we were stuffed. Really, really good.Service... More

For quick service we chose to sit at the bar. I always do this when I can and especially when the restaurant is busy. It's an interesting perspective from which to survey the crowd. It was a chance to talk to the bartender and learn something traditional. Sopapillas are truly mouth watering. Next time I will have a "Swirl" (margarita... More

My husband and I ordered the Blue Plate special which included a dry tamale, a dry enchilada and a half decent taco. The service was non existant. No refills on tea . This cost $13.50 a plate. Would not recommend at all!

I have eaten at Tomasita's for years and I have never had a bad meal. Tonight we ate there for our daughter's 18th birthday and everything was wonderful. Our server Dave was outstanding and attentive. I had a bean burrito with green chili and it was excellent. Their sopapillas are so good, I recommend you order some honey-butter with them.... More
