the wait is ridiculously long, but they except reservations. Im not picky, but overall Id say not worth a long wait. above average food, but way overpriced for what you get. busy atmosphere, but not really fun or anything. the staff was pleasant but seemed to just be doing their jobs methodically and was looking to "turn tables". Just cant... more

Excellent mexican food, good service, good atmosphere. Red chili was the hottest I have ever had; thick-soupy rather than having chunks of veggies/meat. more

A visit to Santa Fe wouldn't be complete without a visit to The Shed. The location is just around the corner from the cathedral so the wait/lines are horrendous, but I'm willing to put my name on their list anyday. When we showed up at 1:45 on a Saturday afternoon, they told us it would be a 1.5 hour wait!... more

There were 10 of us for dinner. The food was mediocre and the service was horrible! We ordered appetizers (guacamole & salsa). The server brought us seven plates. When we told her we needed three more she said that she didn't have anymore plates. She told us that they usually don't bring plates for guacamole & salsa so she said... more

My wife and I went to dinner at The Shed. We didn't make reservations and waited about 45 minutes for a table. The atmosphere is very casual and there is a bar where you can have a few drinks before dinner. My wife ordered the Pollo Adobo and I ordered the Enchilada and Taco Plate. Both dinners were well presented,... more

I have been dining (lunch) at The Shed for 30 years. My husband and I had lunch here on 3/19/09. I had the #11 combination plate with their famous red chile; I would recommend the combination platters. I also had two "Shed Gold" margaritas ($7.50) and they were THE BEST (and modestly priced) margaritas I had in my 4 days... more

This is a popular restaurant in the community, so try a reservation or eat at the bar. We had an hour and a quarter wait, so ate at the bar. The bar staff were very efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The bar was full, with many electing to return their buzzers to the greeter to eat at the bar. The... more

We read the range of reviews and thought we would try The Shed despite some of the more negative comments. Our experience was quite similar to the reviews at the more negative end. We went for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were told it would be about an hour and fifteen minutes, but to check back in 30 minutes.... more

"This is not only the best deal in town, (some really $$$$$ places here - ie: tourist traps), but best food as well. Very authentic, (opened 1953, onto 3rd generation), recipes. This a MUST to try while in NM :-). Corn Choweder: WOW enchiladas: YUM Tacos: GR8 Chocolate Mouse Cake - Oooooo!" more

Stopped at the Shed on a recommendation during a road-trip... Margaritas were average at best. Maybe I'm not used to the new mexican style, but found the enchiladas rather bland other than the spice from the green chile which was overpowering. Chicken Adobo with red chile was better, but still not impressive. We also got the recommendation for los mayas,... more
