Happy hour

We visited two different days for happy hour. This is s pricey place, but during happy hour wines and select appetizers are half price. A great treat without breaking the bank! Try the pumpkin ravioli or the stuffed squash blossoms.

We have found it difficult to find a restaurant serving late evening in Santa Fe. We had just gotten in town and tried El Meson, but their kitchen had closed. They recommended Il Piatto. We were so pleased - good wine, fabulous gnocchi, all was wonderful and at half price! The staff was welcoming and our waiter, friendly and attentive.... More

We came here late at night one day and did we get lucky! All the appetizers and small plates were half off! Not only that but the wine was too! Our meals were fantastic and our waiter was super nice and treated us like royalty. They give you loads of bread to enjoy before your meal, which was swell. We... More

We have never been disappointed at this restaurant and last night was no exception. Four of us went for dinner and we all enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent. We would have preferred a better-lite dining room, however, and the noise level was high, because of two large parties at big tables. Our friends shared a starter of crispy... More

Preparations for an opera require careful planning. Too much food and there is the danger of feeling drowsy; too little food and one's mind becomes distracted by pangs of hunger. Il Piatto offers the perfect compromise; before 6 pm, the Happy Hour provides reduced drinks and appetizer portions of the entrées. The food is delicious, creatively presented by a knowledgeable... Love this place. Very reasonably priced Italian food with great atmosphere and service. Can get crowded. We go early. There was a baked 1/2 chicken I liked. Talk about value!

A bit over-priced, so-so food and pretty bad service. The day we were there it wasn't very crowded, there were three wait-staff and it took us almost an hour to get our entrees. I had the Bolognese-(Duck, Pork and Sausage, supposedly) but it was not very flavorful and probably could have just as well come out of a jar. Perhaps... More

Service was slow and mediocre although we did get seated immediately without a reservation. Both entrees were below mediocre. One bad enough at the didn't charge us. Had been recommended by friends. Ended up being the second worst dining experience ever in Santa Fe.

We found this place looking for something near an appointment and were we happy with our find. The food was terrific! We went for lunch and had the lunch selection of salad, entree, dessert. Every course was delicious, and amounts were perfect. The salads were interesting; not your usual boring house salads. The sauce on the chicken I had was... More

This restaurant is a Santa Fe tourist trap that my wife and I fell into. I can't image locals eat there. As you can see by the name, the place purports to be Italian, and, indeed, the menu features pasta along with fish, beef, and chicken. The basic problem with Il Piatto is that it is hugely overpriced and the... More
