Excellent staff (Mandy was fabulous), very high-quality ingredients (the farmer who provides the produce dropped in while we were there), and half-price appetizers during happy hour. The gazpacho was heavenly and I wish I'd had it after the meal instead of before. It was chilly and light, an excellent palate cleanser. The gorgonzola ravioli was exactly that--a large chunk of... Since I am a fan of local farm to table food, I chose this restaurant from a couple my husband had selected. The restaurant gets high marks for being farm to table alone. Though small, it has a lovely high-end feel, and the service was very good. My husband simply loved his chicken with roasted potatoes and veggies. I tasted... More

I started out with a four cheese stuffed squash blossom which was creamy and surrounded with tasty sauce. The salad and duck entree were both delicious. Topped it off with a chocolate mousse. This place is definitely worth going to. I was dressed very casual and felt comfortable. The service was very good. I went early for dinner and they... More

One of my favorite lunch spots in Santa Fe especially if you go after the main lunch rush and can sit back and enjoy the food and service. Over the last several years, I have been here many times. They have an excellent 3 course fixed price lunch for $16.95 that allows you to order anything from the menu. The... More

Husband and I enjoyed both our tasty main dishes very much: one was grilled trout over polenta with mushrooms with a pleasant sauce. Other was roasted chicken (almost 1/2 a chicken) with roasted potatoes and grilled veggies in a yummy sauce. The room was bright with nice jazzy music playing in the background (at just the right volume. I'd say... More

Wow. What a pleasant surprise to find such a wonderful little Italian joint in downtown SF. Farm to table works and we were all pleased with entrees, wine list and special deserts. The arugula, blueberry and goat cheese salad was a treat. Ask for Mandy as a server.

Pleasant for lunch with white table cloths. Salads, Caesar with chicken, or without and iced tea made for a nice lunch. Bread with olive oil is great, butter to be asked for. Would return again.

On the spur of the moment since we were downtown for an event, my wife and I, who live in Santa Fe, decided to have dinner at Il Piatto. We both had never been. Our appetizers of sautéed calamari and oyster mushrooms were excellent, tasty, and a great way to start our dinner. Service was crisp and efficient and friendly.... More

The food here is just terrific, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Lovely atmosphere too. This is a restaurant you can count on, and their happy hour makes it a great value as well. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the last meal I had here. Going back soon...for my birthday,... We had a delicious three-course meal at Il Piatto. We ordered from the Prix Fixe lunch menu and had our choice of an appetizer, entree, and dessert or two appetizers and an entree for $16.95. I had a tasty asparagus soup, followed by grilled trout with mushrooms (and no bones), and, at the waitress's recommendation, the sweet marsala zabaglione. Our... More
