This place has very good food and very good service and an ambiance that matches. My only complaint is the temperature of the restaurant was a bit hot. I understand that it is cold in the high desert at night, but this was a bit extreme. I had the prosciutto wrapped trout which I would highly recommend. The ambiance is... More

We had heard great things about the Happy Hour menu and we were not disappointed! Entrees are available in half size portions for about 1/4 of the dinner entree price -- and they are absolutely delicious. We had the Duck in Papparadelle, Pumpkin Ravioli, a full leaf Caesar and a Caprese salad made with perfect heirloom tomatoes. (On the second... More

On our first night in Santa Fe, we ate here in this cozy downtown restaurant. The food is very good and the friendly staff and the casual but comfy setting was a pleasant introduction to Santa Fe. I had gnocchi and cold salad which was chopped heirloom tomatoes drizzled with a simple oil and herb dressing. There are two rooms... More

We first experienced Il Piatto as part of the Santa Fe School of Cooking Restaurant Tour. Their presentation on the tour was exceptional with several food samples and a different wine with each. Just great. Then they told us about their happy hour which was half priced wine and small plates until 6pm. Since this included pasta dishes we decided... More

We were looking for a late lunch and many downtown restaurants were closed prior to their dinner hours. Winding up at il Piatto we had a wonderful lunch around 3 PM. The chef even graciously prepared two of the lunch specials even though it was well after lunch. Superb service.

My wife and I returned to Santa Fe, our favorite city. We were told Il Piatto was not to be missed! The tables were a bit cramped, and you could here many conversations being had. As soon as our food arrived... That's all I could concentrate on! The farm fresh salads, the house made pastas and the affordable wine list... More

This was a welcome relief from the spicy, chile laden meals of the last few days. The gourmet appetizers and pastas were all delicious. The décor was romantic and subtle, and the value was excellent, with a wonderful 3 course prix fixe at $16.95 for lunch (I had four cheese squash and salmon manicotti, with an excellent tiramisu for dessert.... I've read some reviews and decided to try this place out on my day trip to Santa Fe. I really liked that it was a bit further from all the touristy crowds and the price was lower than usual Santa Fe. I also liked the fixed price menu option. I'll be coming back for sure.

The service was great from the hostess who greeted us to the busboy who kept our water full. The food was outstanding in part because the menu is limited and allows the chef to focus on a few great dishes. The pumpkin ravioli which my wife had she is still raving about.

lovely Italian, walking distance location. Happy hour included menu items discounted. The food is fresh and wonderful. Not true Italian for this Italian although I've dined here a dozen times. Worth the walk and time for sure.
