After arriving in Santa Fe after our drive from Denver, we checked into our hotel (room not ready) so we decided to go and get a bite of lunch. What we ended up doing was having a very fine dining experience. Il Piatto, an "Italian farmhouse kitchen", had an amazing lunch menu. Everything we tried was of the freshest quality... More

This little Italian restaurant is excellent! I was walking around Santa Fe after dinner at another restaurant (which I would not recommend) and looked at the menu at Il Piatto. I noticed they served a dish made with chicken livers. I used to go to a restaurant to eat a dish called Spaghetti Caruso. I asked if they could make... More

Il Piatto is a sure bet. It is a small restaurant so seating is tight. There is a open area in front which has several small tables on the sidewalk. It is also tight but the wait staff serves from outside the iron fence so the smallness is not a problem. We had a reservation for an outside table and... More

Excellent staff (Mandy was fabulous), very high-quality ingredients (the farmer who provides the produce dropped in while we were there), and half-price appetizers during happy hour. The gazpacho was heavenly and I wish I'd had it after the meal instead of before. It was chilly and light, an excellent palate cleanser. The gorgonzola ravioli was exactly that--a large chunk of... Since I am a fan of local farm to table food, I chose this restaurant from a couple my husband had selected. The restaurant gets high marks for being farm to table alone. Though small, it has a lovely high-end feel, and the service was very good. My husband simply loved his chicken with roasted potatoes and veggies. I tasted... More

I started out with a four cheese stuffed squash blossom which was creamy and surrounded with tasty sauce. The salad and duck entree were both delicious. Topped it off with a chocolate mousse. This place is definitely worth going to. I was dressed very casual and felt comfortable. The service was very good. I went early for dinner and they... More

One of my favorite lunch spots in Santa Fe especially if you go after the main lunch rush and can sit back and enjoy the food and service. Over the last several years, I have been here many times. They have an excellent 3 course fixed price lunch for $16.95 that allows you to order anything from the menu. The... More

Husband and I enjoyed both our tasty main dishes very much: one was grilled trout over polenta with mushrooms with a pleasant sauce. Other was roasted chicken (almost 1/2 a chicken) with roasted potatoes and grilled veggies in a yummy sauce. The room was bright with nice jazzy music playing in the background (at just the right volume. I'd say... More

Wow. What a pleasant surprise to find such a wonderful little Italian joint in downtown SF. Farm to table works and we were all pleased with entrees, wine list and special deserts. The arugula, blueberry and goat cheese salad was a treat. Ask for Mandy as a server.

Pleasant for lunch with white table cloths. Salads, Caesar with chicken, or without and iced tea made for a nice lunch. Bread with olive oil is great, butter to be asked for. Would return again.
