After several days of enjoying southwestern cuisine, we needed a palate cleanser. This place was perfect . Quirky Italian menu with great fresh bread, etc. Service was very good.
The food was very good. I had called ahead and made a lunch reservation. At that time, I made it a point to tell them that I was bringing a small group of friends and that it was a birthday lunch for 2 of the people in our party of 4. When we arrived, our table was ready, which was... More
This was our first visit to Il Piatto and it will not be our last. The waitstaff and especially the hostess were terrific. We took advantage of Restaurant Week and ate a late lunch, 3-course meal, all of which was delicious. The appetizers (liver pate for my husband and calamari for me) were beautifully presented and very good. I had... More
I love Italian food, and always look forward to a new restaurant to me. The atmosphere was nice, but far to dark. Made me wonder what they were hiding. The service was ok, but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the stuffed trout which was the daily special on the recommendation of the server. It tasted like mush and... More
I travel to Santa Fe monthly and have been taken or referred to a long list of very good South Western restaurants, but enough is enough. Last trip I discovered il Piatto and have been talking about it ever since. Smack in the middle of the center of town is an upscale Italian menu that would be considered "ambitious" in... More
We have dined at Il Piatto many times over the years, and each experience was different. Il Piatto can be great, or disappointing, and they need to present a more even experience for diners. Greeted warmly upon arrival, our waitress was extremely helpful and attentive. We had the Antipasti to begin, which was nice. Caesar Salad was tasty and well-presented.... More
We dined very late one evening. As is usual it is hard to have great service when the staff wants to leave. The food was delicious... the caesar always first class. The Gnocchi with roasted pears...tasty as well as the linguine with seafood.
While vacationing in Santa Fe, we chose our restaurant selections carefully. The first day, we walked by Il Piatto and thought it was a beautiful restaurant with lovely atmosphere. We made a reservation for the following night. My fiancee and I both had a negative vibe when we first walked in as we were greeted coldly and shown to a... More
We enjoyed a lunch and a dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The atmosphere, waitstaff and, of course, the food were excellent. My husband is Italian and we eat the cuisine a lot. These dishes were tastefully prepared and were the highlight of several great meals we had in Santa Fe.
