My husband of 1 day and I were fortunate enough to dine at this wonderful restaurant. Initially, even with a reservation, they sat us next to the bar. But with a gentle request to sit in the dining room, we were moved to a nice table near the window but against the wall. It was a cold night with snow... More

We heard that Il Piatto had a nice happy hour and we were pleasantly surprised! The wine is half price as are the appetizers and the half portions of the pasta dishes. We sampled a few items while enjoying a couple glasses of wine. The focaccia served with the pasta was delicious! EVERYTHING we ordered was exceptional actually. Service was... More

I stopped in to have a bite at the bar and was pleasantly surprised by the happy hour menu. Bartender was very knowledgeable and pleasant and offered excellent wine recommendations. I started with a chicken liver appetizer which was beyond wonderful. The caesar salad was very good although a tad overdressed. Then I made a mistake and got the gnocchi,... More

I came for a lunch prix fixe on a weekday. The pricing was around $17 for a 3-course selection. In the winter, the restaurant is open for lunch only on weekdays. They also have an evening happy hour menu as well. Service was prompt to begin with, but began to slow as other diners gathered in. The server was very... More

Pricey food was that was average, but small portions and nothing I could not create at home. Waiter and hostess were not friendly--did their job without personality or warmth. Will not go again.

Arrived here at 5:30 after leaving 2 other places, one was crazy expensive, the other booked solid. This place had walk in tables, and they were very comfy, and the server was very friendly. Food was served fast, was hot and very good. Would return again.

So a strange thing happeed here. We had reservations for Saturday night at 6 pm. At 5:59 the restaurant called and an anxious host asked where we were. We were parking. At 6:05 we walked in. Given the fact they had called n- I was thinking our table was ready... not exactly. We waited another 25 minutes to be seated.... More

Absolutely everything that touched our lips was delicious. My only problem was the portions could have been a bit bigger. I loved the mushroom gnocchi! The atmosphere was cozy and romantic, appeared fancy with candles and decorations but really only 3 star surroundings due to paper table covers and almost too dim lighting. If you are expecting huge portions, don't... More

Food is good. Service: it's all about them. After a long absence, I decided to try Il Piatto again. I was 30 seconds into my first re-visit when after 30 seconds, the waiter pissed me off. As the meal progressed, I realized it was all about him. My next visit, a month later for lunch, I asked the waiter for... More

Don't know what the issue was but the food was not as tempting as I thought it should be!! Waiting for a taste treat in Italian cooking we were somewhat disappointed by just average food and service. The restaurant was full but the food was just not up to par at all, it was only average at best!
