We had Christmas Eve reservations here, and were glad that we did. Santa Fe downtown was too packed with tourists and so we were happy to find that Midtowne Bistro is a short drive and almost hidden. The staff is welcoming and friendly and the service is laid back; we were fine with this as we were in no hurry.... More

We went for lunch and were impressed by the fresh roses on all the tables. The menu was varied, the prices reasonable. The service was terrible. One of our group of 4 had to be back at work afterward and we sat and waited for them to take our order, the meal came out in a reasonable time and was... More

I love the seduction bread in the bread basket! I always feel like I am treating myself and giving myself a special time when I come here. I love the salads. The calamari appetizer was wonderful with a light batter.

This is one of Santa Fe's hidden gems. In an obscure location, it is worth seeking out. It has an understated elegance from the moment you arrive through a lovelly stone garden. Their outdoor patio is shady (a good thing in Santa Fe's relentless sun), admist more stone sculptures and small fountains. Food is well prepared, simple and affordable. We... More

Tonight my husband & I ate dinner at the Midtown Bistrot. As other commentors mentioned it's located on San Mateo St. in a district of small businesses, such as artist's & craftsmen's studios, stores, repair shops, etc. about 2 miles south of the SF Plaza. Our table included a bud vase with roses & a candle, so the mood was... More

I went to the Midtown Bistro Sunday morning. When I walked into this cute, elegant bistro they said they were serving brunch and lunch (which was a good thing because I did not want breakfast food-although I had heard that the waffles with whipped cream and dried fruit was wonderful). After looking at the menu I decided to start with... More

This restaurant is slightly south of town. It is obscurely placed, so IF you don't know Santa Fe, you might miss it. Get directions from your concierge, and go for either lunch or dinner. The garden has heaters and is under a copse of cottonwood trees. There are beautiful boulder fountains all around the garden. The atmosphere is so lovely.... More

We were invited to eat for Sunday lunch and were pleasantly surprised. First of all, the outdoor patio seating was lovely with gardens and rock water features everywhere, tablecloth and nice china. I had the crab eggs benedict and my husband had a creamy corn soup which were melt in your mouth. I had to take home leftovers....the potatoes were... More

Based on other reviews, we chose Midtown Bistro for our last dinner in Santa Fe. Just as described, it's in the warehouse district, a few miles south of the Plaza and tourist area. Easy to drive to and park. Lovely restaurant inside and out, but out is the place to be on a lovely evening. The service was excellent. Everything... More

I don't think Santa Fe hotel and B&B concierges send their guests to Midtown Bistro...because it is out-of-the-way for Plaza visitors and, let's face it, is in our "warehouse district!" But, as many of us know in our own home towns and cities, it is often these little places tucked away in a "non-scenic" part of town that are the... More
