It's truly a French Cafe and Bakery ran by a nice French women.. The food is excellent but each time I've gone there the waitress is not. She's had a sour look on her face, and the food was a little slow in coming out. I will probably go back, but will make sure I'm no in a hurry or... More

The food was delicious but the service is slow. Our waitress was good but the woman behind the pastry counter at the register did absolutely nothing to help out the waitresses. Didn't run food or ANYTHING. Just stood there. I saw that our drinks were ready and our waitress was busy with another table and the register woman didn't even... More

I'm hesitant to write this review in fear of the restaurant being overcrowded next time I have to go there, but they deserve as much business as possible. French cuisine without the attitude. Elegant, but casual. The portions are good. The service is very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the food so much, we went back a few days later. The... More

Slightly off the beaten track (by a few blocks) but well worth the effort. An excellent patisserie -- for breakfast or lunch -- and a great French menu for dinner, including all the classics. Enjoy!

We loved discovering this quaint little bistro. We sat in the alleyway courtyard and took lunch. The menu was Classic French and everything that came out of the kitchen looked delightful! We opted for salads and a bottle of excellent Sauvignon blanc recommended by the very attentive waitress. We wish we had time for another visit!

Based on two experiences at this restaurant (3 for my wife), we’d say that Chez Mamou is a good addition to the restaurant scene in Santa Fe, and I expect we’ll be occasional repeat customers for years. However, we can say nothing about the pastries or wines, as we don’t partake of either. The restaurant is well situated in the... More

We only took advantage of the breakfasts they offer, and did not try the lunch or dinner menus. The pastries are delicious, and it is lovely to sit outside in the adjacent courtyard.

We had two pastries for dessert one night. One was a fruit "tart", the other was a chocolate confection. The surprising part about them was that the base of each of the pastries was what I would classify as a large cookie. I had expected them to be on a pastry shell base with a creamy filling, but this isn't... More

As others have mentioned this is a great place for lunch and of course dessert and a coffee. French style and lots of chocolate choices. We would recommend this place for lunch or an afternoon break. During peak seasons it can be very crowded.

Quaint alley patio. Service was attentive. Classic French. Aweso e onion soup and organic green salad. My friend had 2 poached eggs with ham and potatoes and said it was perfect. We shared a fruit tart which made us realize this is classic French pastry chef. Small restaraunt that we stumped on A few tables inside and a few tables... More
