Late lunch, salsa and chips with a crunch

I have eaten Tex-Mex, Mex-Mex, New Mex-Mex and what the heck Mex and the salsa and chips here were some of the best I have ever eaten. Everything is homemade and fresh. The server was very friendly and attentive. I have a gluten allergy so was happy to find that they know about gluten here and took... read more

Interesting look from the outside piqued my interest. The service is friendly and prompt. The food, while presented well, lacks authenticity for true New Mexican. The red chile had bite but lacked flavor. The beans were very dry and the rice flavorless. The sopapillas were good (with honey). Beer and wine are served. I would not go back as there... More

Based on other reviews we stopped here on our first night visiting Santa Fe. It was early and the owner, Jorge waited on us himself. Being from New Jeresy he was very helpful in helping us choose. After a great dinner with fresh ingredients, he gave us a tour of the kitchen to see how sopapilla was made. We returned... More

If you're going to open up a restaurant in Santa Fe, you'd probably want one with a bit more ambiance than this one. It's (well) off the beaten path and attached to a motel, but the other reviews were positive, so off we went. There were only two other people there on a Wednesday evening, but even so the service... I ate here on a weeknight. The place was quiet. But even so, our service was really slow. The food was absolutely delicious. Great prices. And a good variety. But the staff was so slow and inattentive. I hope that it was just an off night but I don't know.

Old Pecos Trail Cafe is a family-owned and operated restaurant serving traditional New Mexico food. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from plus burgers, soups and salads. Food is fresh and delicious. Prices very reasonable. Staff is friendly. The owner, Jorge, likes to visit with customers. They have a beer and wine license.

My mom and I stopped here for lunch and we greeted by the friendly host with a smile. The service was excellent and the food delicious! I can't wait to go back and try something different.
